What's your favourite gift you've ever received which was slightly odd?
I got a giant plastic barrel of pretzels and a catering size jar of gherkins

That sounds brilliant. When I was a kid I got a Budweiser towel.

My friend was once baffled by her MIL and her very practical presents but they always turned out to be her favourites!
One was a very heavy and useful sellotape dispenser, a stair basket and a medium sized whisk perfect for hot chocoloate and coffee frothing!

A fold up four seater picnic table with attached stools from DH’s gran and grandad many years ago.
We were grateful, but perplexed until it came into use again and again as we praised them into the years after their deaths.
Great people and the picnic table was no more the other year after becoming dislodged from the rafters while we were looking for something else. It hit the deck, shattered.

A potato ricer 😆

A secondhand soup maker.
It's bloody fantastic. Comes into use every autumn, would absolutely replace if it ever conks out. Was also fab for making puree of various vegetables when first weaning DS.
