Love hearing what others have!

Breakfast is usually sourdough toast and scrambled egg

Lunch is leftover cheeseboard with bake-at-home bread rolls and butter

Dinner is ALL the leftovers from Christmas dinner (turkey/gammon/kilted sausages/stuffing/veg/roasties/bread sauce/gravy/cranberry sauce) with added double cream, in a pie dish & topped with puff pastry - makes the most delicious leftovers pie!

Probably just a normal breakfast (usually porridge & berries in the winter). Lunch will be a sandwich with leftover meat & salad, dinner is heated up leftovers! If there's enough roast potatoes it will be another roast, if not a miss match of everything that we help ourselves to. Oh and lots of snacking in between meals & drinking up leftover booze (if there is any!)

HoorayHettie · 15/12/2025 18:58

Lunch is leftover turkey, ham, pigs in blankets, bubble & squeak & chutney

In the evening, it's a very relaxed buffet of leftovers. Usually someone makes a few turkey sandwiches and there is always a lot of "beige food", crisps, a cheeseboard, yule log, panettone, mince pies, shortbread, fruit etc

NormanSicily · 15/12/2025 19:03

Big plate of bubble and squeak for dinner. Love it even more than the chrydinner itself. Trifle usually for pudding

vincettenoir · 15/12/2025 19:04

Big leftovers sandwich for lunch and curry for dinner.

hyggetyggedotorg · 15/12/2025 19:08

We go to family on Boxing Day, so usually a second roast dinner of some sort.

Back home in the evening, we’ll just help ourselves to cheese, ham, cold turkey, crackers, pickles etc & I’ll cook some part baked rolls to go with it.

Justputsomeyoghurtonit · 15/12/2025 19:12

Normally leftovers. We don't have an evening meal on boxing day, just a late lunch.

So breakfast is usually croissants/fruit, lunch is all the leftovers plus the cheese and heated up leftover roast potatoes. And red wine.

This year I have no idea as we aren't having a Xmas dinner as its just us, so probably cheese and ham sandwich!

crumpetandcoffee · 15/12/2025 19:18

Cold meat, mash and pickles. DH will not deviate from this haha

doitwithlove · 15/12/2025 19:20

Cold meat, bubble & squeak with baked beans

HeddaGarbled · 15/12/2025 19:21

Leftovers with salads for lunch and then pizza for tea. People can help themselves to cereal and/or toast for breakfast if they want any.

Bikergran · 15/12/2025 19:24

I will be having my favourite meal of the year, my Boxing Day sandwich. After running round and getting all the timings right for Christmas dinner, Boxing Day is lovely and relaxed. My sandwich is very simple, a good multigrain bread, real butter, cold turkey leg meat, stuffing and Branston. Maybe with some pickled onions on the side. Eaten at leisure in front of the TV.

Anjo2011 · 15/12/2025 19:24

The cold cuts from the day before, mashed potato’s and peas. Hopefully pigs in blankets too if there are any left over. Maybe a Yorkshire pudding.

youalright · 15/12/2025 19:26

Breakfast usually left over yule log, trifle ect. Dinner 2nd Christmas dinner. Tea leftover buffet

VillageFete · 15/12/2025 19:26

We have the inlaws over and I throw a slow cooked turkey in the oven from M&S, defrost my homemade sausage meat, apple and chestnut stuffing and make some lovely sandwiches. I also make a batch of fresh roasties.

We have homemade coleslaw and mustard potato salad (From a local bakery - I don’t make these, I collect on Christmas Eve!)

Cheese, crackers, pickles, cakes, cream, custard etc..

Mulledjuice · 15/12/2025 19:27

Breakfast: toblerone or Christmas pudding + cream

Lunch: turkey and salady/ cold cut buffet things like pork pie coleslaw beetroot, cheese

Dinner: turkey and chips, bublle + squeak

MikeRafone · 15/12/2025 19:27

Cold meat and bubble and squeek, with pickle

i love it, my favourite after roast meal, hopefully they’ll be enough for 27th as well

Pascha · 15/12/2025 19:29

Mil has informed us it will be lamb for lunch at hers. Breakfast will be normal. Toast and peanut butter or cereal I guess.

At home later it will be whatever anyone wants to make for themselves. Dh will go for crackers and cheese, Ds1 is likely yo cook himself eggs and bacon and Ds2 might have soup.

We don't really have extra leftovers to pick. Just normal food

Gardener82 · 15/12/2025 19:29

Breakfast usually left over yule log, trifle ect. Dinner 2nd Christmas dinner. Tea leftover buffet

Wow! I know some kids who would love to come to you for Boxing Day breakfast! I'll have to copy that idea . . . . can't wait to see their little faces!

Many thanks

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 15/12/2025 19:30

All the lovely leftovers, including gammon (possibly not even started yet) with sld or coleslaw, fresh baguettes/butter/chutney/pickled onions, and if there’s a crowd, a macaroni pie.

Parker231 · 15/12/2025 19:32

We’re heading to the ski slopes on Boxing Day so will eat in a local restaurant.

Downdowndownunder · 15/12/2025 19:33

Lunch is a sandwich with the ham or turkey; tea is a jacket potato or chips with leftovers and then we finish the sherry trifle!

loadypoady · 15/12/2025 19:33

A full English for breakfast including bubble and squeak to see us through the day followed by turkey curry for an early evening tea. I always buy a separate turkey crown to cook on Boxing Day for this but have decided that turkey is so expensive that I am going to substitute it with chicken this year.
I bet diamonds no one is going to notice and I will be quids in this year.

caringcarer · 15/12/2025 19:43

Full English for breakfast, Turkey sandwiche for lunch and I'm hosting a Boxing Day buffet at 6pm. Pigs in blankets, DH will make some homemade pizzas in pizza oven, salad, cherry tomatoes, chicken dippers, quiche, mini sausage rolls, cheese board, crackers, gammon and turkey cold cuts, chocolate fingers. Raspberry pavlova, lemon cheesecake and ice cream.

gemdrop84 · 15/12/2025 19:45

What ever is left!!

patooties · 15/12/2025 19:48

Pastries / cake for breakfast.

Bacon and eggs on toast.

DH makes a turkey and ham pie which is my favourite thing about Xmas food. I’ll find the recipe!
