Christmas gifts at work

I manage a large team with a handful of direct reports who are team leaders, so each managing a few members of staff. I want to give my direct reports a small gift each (wine or chocolate) but then also some of their team members who have worked on my specific projects. It would mean excluding some people across the department and I hate excluding people.

My thinking is bring gifts for my direct reports and staff who I have closely with then bring some snacks in the office for others.

What are others doing please?

I only buy for my direct reports and I get it sent to their homes so that nothing is visible to other people. For wider team snacks/confectionery/pizza lunch on last day is great.

First post nails it as usual.

That's a great idea but I have no idea on addresses and would feel awkward for asking.

That's fair enough - my team are much smaller and I have been to everyone's homes. It is a tricky tightrope to walk if you have lots of people to consider. I think it's lovely that you asked though, you sound a great boss.
