Dyson Airwrap Alternatives

My 14 year old daughter is keen on the Dyson Airwrap but it's a bit too expensive given that she would like some other bits and pieces too. Has anyone tried anything that's similar but still decent or is it one of these things where nothing else compares? I am clueless!

What’s your budget?

As the mother of a 14 year old myself, I’d say that if she wants a Dyson Airwrap, she’d be very disappointed with a cheap alternative. If you can’t or won’t afford an Airwrap (and fair enough, they’re very expensive!), then at 14 she’s old enough to understand that it’s beyond your budget.
My teen would rather have a contribution to the real thing and have to save the rest themselves than have something they don’t really want.

This I am afraid OP. What’s your budget.

Not sure of budget to be honest, just really wondering what, if any, alternative options might be. I can afford buy her the Dyson but I feel it's an extravagant present for a 14 year old. I said in my post that she was keen but thinking about it, it was something she had mentioned previously but hasn't actually mentioned it again so not like she has her heart set on this or anything.

Shes not really fussed about having the real deal for stuff yet (for example she was happy to get some clothing bits off Hacoo). I don't think she completely understands and appreciates the cost of things yet so loathe to go too crazy.

I bought a reconditioned one off their store on EBay. It had £100 off. My 17 year old uses it more than me and is not very careful with it. Leaves it in the floor etc. I’ve just taken it back as she’s not looking after it well. It does seem robust though. It’s probably nearly 2 years old now. I guess it depends on your how well she’d look after it and if you’d want to replace it if needed.

I bought my dd the shark flex style. Still pricy at 200quid but it’s brilliant!!

Oh she wouldn't look after it at all if her GHDs are anything to go by which is why I'm loathe to get this 🙈 I think it can wait or else she can save up her own money for it. I will have a wee look at the Shark!
