I have five girls I need to buy gifts for - ages 5,6,7,8 and 9. I'm seeing them all together so would be good to get the same/versions of the same thing. Budget is small - really under £5 each would be great. Any ideas for something fun, not complete junk, but not expensive?

Thanks in advance!

When I was little I used to love a Cadbury’s selection box, it was a real treat.

Rex of London also have lots of nice bits and pieces in their stocking fillers section.

Smiggle have a huge sale ATM, with loads under £5. You might need to pay postage of you aren't near a store, though!

The essentials packs could work - £4 down from £15, and loads of designs so you could choose each a different one.

I'd go for selection boxes. We get them for DH's cousin's DC. They always go down well.

I think the Smiggle idea is great, you can make it fit all ages. I would not go with a Selection Box, I think many are more aware of excess Sugar and control sweet treats, it could cause arguments and disappointment when taken away for “later”

Soft toys are usually a hit with my Brownies (aged 7 to 10) see here https://www.bakerross.co.uk/christmas-cuddly-plush-toys lots of other little Christmas oddments on the site if you wanted to makeup a mini stocking.

A selection box and child friendly bubble bath or sparkly nail varnish

I think this is a great idea. And there is enough different essentials packs for them all to have a different one and it is the type of thing that caters to all those ages.

Omg sorry just re-read your post and now i see they're not your kids so it's entirely different

Alicorn1707 · 11/12/2025 17:56

@Nw34567 would these crochet animals appeal? Lots of different available.

Nw34567 · 12/12/2025 18:48

Thanks so much for your suggestions everyone! Rex London is a great shout, they have lovely things, and the crochet 'emotional support' animals are adorable.

In the end I went for Smiggle - got five sets of colour-in stickers and five sets of scented pencils, all in different designs/flavours, for £28 delivered. Job done!
