What could I get for my 2 direct reports just a small gift up to £20, we dont usually buy gifts but I've been ill recently and they have had to take on extra work. They are both around 40 both busy working mums.

As a busy working mum I have always loved getting something like a Costa voucher. I don’t normally stop and treat myself but a voucher made me! So good!! Can’t normally afford it or can justify the cost.

Another vote for a Costa voucher! Maybe a coffee shop gift card or something like that, just something they'd definitely find useful which isn't a bunch of stuff.

You can never go wrong with a nice box of posh chocolate of biscuits though, it's just that a voucher could be more practical.
Something personalized, like custom planners or notebook and pen gift sets could be great ideas too, though it depends on whether they make written notes or prefer keeping everything on their phones.

Christmas ornaments are amazing. Scented candles are 50/50 but some people really love them. Tiny desk air humidifiers would be great, too.

For a slightly larger team, I once did M&S vouchers for the value of the ‘dine in offer’ which went down quite well …

Are you allowed to give them a half or whole day off instead? That would be FAR more useful than more stuff IMO

Amazon voucher, costa or beauty shop, garden centre vouchers- but depends how well you know them and their interests
