Xmas day cooking disasters

We always have the illusion that a perfect dinner will be served on Xmas Day but the reality can be so different! On a light hearted note tell us your Xmas Day cooking disasters. I always remember the time my SIL’s oven gave up the ghost in the middle of roasting the Turkey she had to finish it in her sister’s oven !

Kitchen too small for an oven so I use a combi microwave, fine for the two of us. Had two extra for lunch on Boxing Day the revolving glass plate smashed, luckily was able to get by, very impressed that Curry's exchanged the thing no questions asked, had lots of trouble with them in the past

Not Christmas day but entertaining DD and her DP for a Christmas evening meal - day or two after Boxing Day. I forgot to put the oven on. We ate at midnight. It has now become a family legend.
