Welcome to Christmas 2025!

This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread here and share around the joy/referral perks.

I’m reasonably sure I am never getting my order from Anthropologie as it’s been a week since a email came saying they were ‘getting it ready’ to click and collect. Meanwhile they are sending several emails a day. I am not impressed!

I've emailed them today as mine was due today (ordered 3rd December) and not dispatched yet. [email protected].
Not heard back yet. There's also a second payment pending on my bank account for the same item. I'm very disappointed theres a few things I saw that I would have bought after Christmas I won't be now.

Sasha07 · 10/12/2025 21:06

@BrightWolf same for me. I made a new account and it says it's applied but the basket price doesn't change. Checked I was logged in and tried it on about 5 different random things, full price, above £20, at £20, below £20... No idea why it wouldn't work when it did no bother last time on my original account I've gave up on it now.
Chuckling cheese advent calender is another pita. Can anyone who's ordered lately remember how long it takes to arrive? It's been about 5 days now and just got a snooty copy and paste of their T&C's saying delivery date isn't guaranteed (which I knew but was hoping they'd say roughly when it might come!) I think I remember from earlier this thread, or late last thread that they were taking a while to come.

Yes it's delicious! and I'm not a big drinker whatsoever, we received some over the summer as a thank you gift.

Ah, glad to hear that! Anything a bit unusual has got to be a talking point for a 20-something at parties.

FilthyforFirth · 10/12/2025 21:04

Ah really? Do you think big enough for a main santa pressie?!

Size-wise, it’s a decent size, but it’s not one of the giant ones like you linked. But it does do cool tricks like being able flip up and spin, and it has a kind of “stomp mode” so can climb small steps and manage quite rough terrain.

My DC was overjoyed at his, it’s definitely more than the average RC car!

Thank you for that, I will try a few in person costco ones this weekend that are nearby and if not, I'll go for that one

Same here!

Mine was quick ordered the night of Sunday the 30th and it arrived on the Wednesday 3rd.

Famousthehero · 10/12/2025 21:53

@FilthyforFirth not to muddy the waters but our monster truck aficionado hasn’t really played with the stomping tiger shark - he already had the megalodon storm and the gravedigger tracks and it’s comparatively underpowered (he is a Monster Jam fan though).

I suppose it depends on what your son is looking for in a car - if just a hot wheels he recognises and he’s likely to experiment with the functions then I’m sure he would be pleased with the tiger shark one.

if the giant smyths megalodon is anything like the megalodon storm though it will be a beast!

Wowsersbrowsers · 10/12/2025 21:55

@FilthyforFirth my 5 year old has the tiger shark one and I would not want it to be any bigger. Those things can shift.

Thanks for whoever posted the idea of using Haul for donations to a homeless shelter. I've had loads of great bargains from these threads and it's nice to give back a little.

I've ordered 56 pairs of socks, 15 pairs of gloves, 9 hats, 5 snoods and 3 waterproof bags all for a total of £14.90 delivered.
I won't even notice 15 quid and it really is a bargain for that amount of items.

TeamToeBeans · 10/12/2025 22:08

Another vote for the Bison vodka here, it is LOVELY, and definitely agree with apple juice!

VeruccaSalty · 10/12/2025 22:13

Oh no I ordered the mascara I needed from Sephora. I hope it's not going to be another delivery disaster. I know Amazon are evil but at least their stuff arrives.

Oooh how do you rate them? We have the meg storm which is still going strong after almost 3 years. Recently sold the larger el torro loco which while bigger was not as good for outdoors - and was way too loud for dd.

MrsMAFs · 10/12/2025 22:26

Just wanted to add my Rosemart glasses cleaners arrived today. Took about a week and a half / two weeks but they're amazing. Absolutely love them.

Going round in circles with Fahlo trying to get the right QR code for one of my bracelets but they do seem helpful. I'm feeling optimistic I might eventually get the right card

My hotel chocolate grand advent arrived today, I’m so glad I got it it’s fantastic for half price. Absolutely no way would I have paid full price though

Mine also arrived today 😁. It’s huge! As you say, a real bargain at half the RRP.

I've ordered this for my DNephew's birthday (just after Xmas). It's got a blade of grass in it, which gives it an unusual flavour. In Poland they mix it with apple juice, so I'll pop some of that in with it.

My DS21 assures me it's really nice & a good talking point at parties. He discovered it in Summer whilst travelling.

Good present for hard to buy for folk who like to party!

Can confirm this stuff is gorgeous, like drinking apple pie when mixed with apple juice, one of my favorites!

CatRash · 10/12/2025 22:46

I think they've added a minimum order threshold of £50 on Anthropologie 😔 Wish I'd used my voucher sooner now!

remiss of us not to have raced them!

megalodon storm #1 all time favourite - goes brilliantly, so fast and manoeuvrable and great in the open on all terrains (bit chaotic indoors and ds was initially scared of it).

think tiger shark is probably #2 but not been really tested - the stomping action etc seems good for the scientifically-minded.

gravedigger trax ‘swims’ in water on the advert but I don’t know when I thought we’d use this feature. It’s maybe as fast as MS but tips over at speed and gets caught up in long grass, so it’s not so good outdoors.

Think they’re all well made so it’s probably more down to the interests of the users :-)

Would love to have seen a big el toro loco in action! We’re definitely out of space though!

Oh nooooo i was holding on to use mine as I was waiting for all the reductions to finish, then I hadn’t fully decided what to get!

Usernamepleasework · 10/12/2025 23:14

Having a wee giggle to myself reading these last few post can picture parents on Xmas night once the kids are in bed swigging the bisbon vodka racing megladons and tiger sharks about the house 🤭

TheCrow · 10/12/2025 23:39

Thanks to whoever posted the idea of buying warm things on Amazon haul and donating them to the homeless, I got a £5 voucher from the spin the wheel as well so got 10 pairs of thermal gloves, 10 thermal hats, 25 pairs of thermal socks, 5 hoodies (and a sewing kit) for £11.75! Brilliant idea ❤️

Pinkladymel · 11/12/2025 00:31

For those waiting for parcels that are Royal Mail, we had a warning issued by the hospital that RM are currently 15 days behind so 'if you believe you're due an appointment, please call as you might miss it". I believe a lot of the items people are waiting for are quite small and probably RM.

Tonight, at 8pm (I've NEVER had a letter that late before) we got post and it was dated November 30th from HMRC.
