I'm sure it used to be easy - Royal Mail would issue the last dates to send cards to Australia, USA, India, Europe.
Buggered if I can find them now. I'm going round in circles and I don't trust AI.

I've just had a look at a few of the country guides on the Royal Mail website. Agree it isn't remotely clear. Poland: 'we recommend you send as early as possible'. Austria and Belgium: nothing! They did used to publish actual dates.

I had to go into an actual post office yesterday to find out the last posting date for NZ as could not find accurate info anywhere online.

What was it?

janiejonstone · 04/12/2025 23:43

They're all here. Mostly the 8th, some the 12th www.postoffice.co.uk/last-posting-dates?country=belgium

I don't see the dates there. Can you screen shot for the countries I list in my OP please? I'd be really grateful.

Ah OK - I do see it now. Thanks so much.
You used to be able to get an actual bit of paper which listed them all.
Our village PO closed earlier this year.
Honestly......it's all so complicated these days.
Oh and Sainsbury's didn't have ANY boxed Xmas cards - they said they didn't get any delivered. Odd.

I had this exact same problem looking online for Canada Post’s Christmas mailing dates for international cards. None the wiser now after being driven crazy by searching online

Thanks! Unfortunately Canada Post is even less competent than Royal Mail (currently on strike for the second festive season running, although at least this year it is 'rotating' strikes instead of a full on strike), so we'll see how it works out!

TheNightingalesStarling · 05/12/2025 05:08

I was on the local PO yesterday, it was saying 5th December (today!) For Australia. Then other countries between 8th and 12th.

Just post them. Why the drama?

No drama, just frustration at not being able to find basic information.
I haven’t written the cards yet and want to make sure I get them sent in time.

I posted all my assorted overseas cards yesterday. Feeling a bit smug now.
