Can you help me decide on a lovely Christmas gift for DS’s TA?

DS is 5 and has SEN so has 1:1 with the most wonderful TA. Really fond of her because she clearly cares about DS a lot and puts so much effort into him. Her DS was the same as mine so she has that personal experience and I think this is why she advocates for him so much. She gives us pretty much daily updates on what he’s been up to too which is brilliant given he’s mostly non verbal so can’t tell us himself.

I’m going to make her a homemade Christmas card with DS but also want to get her a nice gift. I don’t usually buy Christmas gifts for teachers, just end of year ones so I want this to be something lovely and thoughtful.

I know she’s very much into fitness so I’m not sure if she drinks alcohol or eats chocolate. I considered a candle but then thought I don’t know which fragrances she likes. Also considered a Costa gift card or something but DH said she might not drink coffee/hot chocolate!

Any ideas please?

A voucher, always the best choice f you really aren’t sure of someone’s taste or preference, it’s awful to get an obviously expensive gift you are never going to use. Do you have a John Lewis near you? (Or M and S.) That would be my first choice as a wide choice and also Waitrose. Otherwise what other big shops or supermarkets do you have nearby. If you do buy a gift ask for a gift receipt so she can return it.

I’d agree with a voucher, but maybe a ‘Love2shop’ voucher or if you have a shopping centre nearby that does vouchers you can spend in any shop that would be good.

I normally get DD's TA an amazon voucher (other shops are available) and a small box of nice chocolates.

When I got presents for my brother’s carers I always got them gift cards unless I specifically knew what they liked. M&S usually

I am a TA. More general this year but 2 years ago, I was 1:1 with a 4 year old I adored. He called me a different version of my name and his parents bought me a Xmas decoration with that name on. I treasure it and think of him and his wonderful family every time I see it on my tree.
