Nuts? Crisps? Bombay mix? Olives? Crackers?

What are the very best? We're having a, 'Bring the best snack' competition and I intend to win it.

Bought, not homemade. Nothing that needs to be kept in the fridge.

Or shall I just buy 3 dozen packets of Monster Munch and some Space Raiders?

Nothing beats a twiglet

Co op do some good own brand crisps- have a Thai style green curry flavour that is quite nice.

I can think of so many things that beat a Twiglet! You’ve made me remember the episode of Mr Bean, when he makes them out of actual twigs. 🤣

Another vote for Jacob’s bites.

DarkEyedSailor · 01/12/2025 19:44

Piper's crisps are the best crisps in the world. They do buckets.

Maretti or Krambals Bruschette Chips
Howdah onion bhaji
Sensations poppadoms
Serious pig snacking pickles (the bags are tiny and they're expensive but I love them)
Golden Cross rings, all flavours are good but especially the pickled onion!

FurForksSake · 01/12/2025 20:01

@SpiceGhoul I keep looking at the onion bhaji stuff on Ocado’s what is it?!

SpiceGhoul · 01/12/2025 20:06

@FurForksSake they're little puffs like this. This is the ingredients, they're really addictive so I don't buy them often, they're other snacks or ok but these are the best ones IMO

My mum works in a crisp/snack factory and will give me a box full of the stuff just before Christmas. Which may or may not have shaped my responses.

Roysters - TBone Steak
Frisps - any
McCoys - also any
Hula Hoops - Beef
Space Raiders - also beef

SpiceGhoul · 01/12/2025 20:10

@SleeplessInWherever love all of these but especially Roysters. Need to get some now 🤤

Jellycatspyjamas · 01/12/2025 20:16

Tesco finest caramelised nuts - bloody lovely.

Tesco sweet and salty christmas tree pretzels. Absolutely delicious and so moreish

I want these. I’ve never had them. But I want them.

Anyway my suggestion is Mi Tsu Ba (I think) Thai green snack mix

ToffeeForEveryone · 01/12/2025 20:47

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 01/12/2025 09:29

Walkers Sensation Lime and Coriander ‘poppadums’.

I’m not usually mad about crisps etc., but these are unbelievably moreish, and everyone else in the family says the same.

Try with guacamole. Thank me later.

FurForksSake · 01/12/2025 20:48

M&S chocolate coated tortilla chips.

ThinIceSkater · 01/12/2025 20:50

Pipers - Rosemary and Thyme crisps

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 01/12/2025 21:24

Ooh I like the look of the onion bhaji things.

I should have said that I can easily get to Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, Co-Op, Marks and Spencer. No Tesco or Asda. Could maybe do Morrisons.

M&S pretzel thins and picked jalepeno pretzels, and their tortilla chips are delicious too.

Came here to say the picked jalepeno… SO GOOD

Couple of bags of prawn crackers from the Chinese takeaway.

my favourite ever snack was these tiny little cheesy biscuits shaped like hearts, circles, diamonds and triangles. I’ve not seen them for a good few years.
