I have bought my nieces a Dior lipstick each - feels very decadent as I have the style of a binbag and the lipsticks cost more than most individual items in my wardrobe, but I'm sure that they will love them.
Dior offered complimentary gift wrapping, so I thought "why not?"
They have arrived now, and while the gift wrapping is lovely, it has Christian Dior prominently displayed on the box/bag (for some reason one came in a bag, the other in a box🤔). I have also ordered Charlotte Tilbury make up, and paid for the gift wrapping, so I assume that it will be the same.
The question is - do I give the presents as is, where the recipient will know that they have been given make up for the Charlotte Tilbury, although obviously won't know what exactly they have been given until they open it at Xmas? It sort of feels like giving the game away early.
As I am not into designer labels, nor am I a young woman in the 18-22 age bracket, I'm not sure whether I should pop the branded boxes into a standard gift bag with some tissue paper to conceal the surprise, or if I should give them as is.
I haven't given gifts of this type before, the gifts I have given up until now are trainers/money type things, so some guidance would be appreciated.
Also, are they going to be disappointed when they open packaging that's about 15cmx 10cm to find a single lipstick and a metric ton of shredded paper?😂
