To counter the Bargain Thread

Bonne Maman advent calendar has just been reduced by £4 in Waitrose. I've had one sat in the cupboard for weeks.
Tickets for an event - now 40 % off for black Friday.

Every year I tell myself not to buy too early - there's always plenty of stuff around. Every year I get FOMO.

I also bought it at full price so I feel your pain. I also missed out on their half price Christmas crackers as I couldn't decide which ones to get.

Outing

but last year I won this in a Waitrose
competition!

@Extragreen
How fantastic! I would enjoy opening it more every morning because of it.

Things go on sale so early now it’s no surprise when they sell out. Sadly I usually buy the thing theres plenty of stock of.

I got mine early as well! Dd was desperate for one and they were out of stock in my Waitrose so as soon as I saw one I got it as was panicking in case I couldn’t get one at all!!!

It's so annoying!

I normally spend ages analysing prices and usually do pretty well bargain-wise, but this year I've lost out on a few, including two I'm most annoyed by:

Pokémon 'lego' set, bought for £35, then reduced to £22.
Build a bear advent calendar bought for £35, then reduced to £25.

It is very annoying when this happens, but you just have to weigh up whether you would be more annoyed if you waited for the sale and it sold out, just for the sake of £4?

I tend to buy just before the black friday sales for things I really want to secure them, then return the full price ones and buy again if there is a significant reduction and I can get hold of one.
