We’ve decided to try something new and have two weeks in Disney over Christmas and new year.

DC are 6 and 9.

I’ve said that Santa will bring stockings. I also said we’d leave something under the tree at home for when they get back.

DS9 said that Santa leaves pressies by our tree too so what will happen to them?

I really don’t want to lug presents to Florida. I also don’t want to buy big presents there. The trip is the present!! I was thinking of getting some stocking bits here and a few more in America and a small thing at home for them. Grandparents have given them money to spend there.

Has anyone done similar? What did you do?

Park the car around the corner and one of you walks the kids to the car as you leave while the other gets Santa's presents down and adds them to under the tree. If they believe in Santa you can't make Disney the present. Then say that you messaged the elves and were worried about how to get the presents back in your suitcase so he's delivered them to the house as normal.

I think we’ll have to do that. I still want them to have all the excitement of Christmas. I think we’ll make sure I’m the last to leave and quickly pop them under before we go.
