What are your adult sons getting?

I'm completely out of ideas for presents for my adult son. I've asked him if there's anything he wants and he has no idea either so I'm looking for some inspiration!

Hes 27, works in construction (got new tools last year, new boots for his birthday and his tool belt and bag are sentimental so won't be replaced) has a very small baby so hobbies (gym and gaming) and going out are on the back burner for the time being and he doesn't have favourites of anything to require top ups or replacements. He has a pizza oven already and checked the usual experience day websites earlier for anything new and Ive exhausted everything that they are currently offering over the years.

Budget is around £100 so please any and all ideas welcome

Why not get him one of those experience things or give him the money.

neonleopard · 29/11/2025 21:32

How about a hamper from a meat supplier/local butcher, nice steaks pies etc, or a box from Cook or similar? Good easy food with a new baby is always nice!
Pod Coffee machine? Other kitchen gadget?
Amazon Alexa gadget of some sort?
A lego set!

babysitting voucher from you and maybe a voucher for a nice restaurant

TryingAgainAgainAgain · 29/11/2025 22:13

Toyo tool boxes are really cool, even if he just uses them to store stuff at home:

And obviously you can fill them with treats like a mini hamper.

I echo this! We have a four month old baby and my boyfriends mum asked me today what we’d like for Christmas. I told her not to get us anything, but she obviously told me not to be silly. I said if she really wants to get us something, a local restaurant voucher and a promise of babysitting for the evening would be top of our list!

Also don’t know if your son is a Traitors fan, but I got my boyfriend a fab Traitors cloak inspired dressing gown, for those chilly early morning feeding sessions! He’s always borrowing mine!

You could ask him if he’d fancy a gift subscription for a streaming service? We spent a lot of evenings binge watching series when we had very little ones and couldn’t go out.

Decent aftershave is always a good shout, as are decent boxer shorts. Nike socks too.

Pair of trainers? Lots of Nikes are around the £100 mark. Ditto a decent brand puffer jacket.

Edited

I bought my dp one of these last year. I filled it with his favorite Quality Streets (the golden pennies)!

That's a great price for a basic no laser vacuum. These are good if you have one big space like a big open plan kitchen diner. Otherwise Lidar laser room mapping is a game changer.

I'd go for aftershave- ask him what he likes. There are great deals this weekend. You can get something lovely for £100 but I'd be buying before Monday.

Lavenderandbrown · 29/11/2025 23:17

Apple air tags for his wallet or keys
a new quality pillow
yeti cooler for his lunch
bourbon
LL bean men’s robe
steak delivery
a hamper of skin care products including razors lotion face/ body lotion
bombas socks
new balance trainers
nice shirt and pants to wear out on date night casual not dress pants

PinballWizened · 29/11/2025 23:30

For my relative in construction , with £100 budget I’d get his truck professionally valeted

mondaytosunday · 29/11/2025 23:32

My son is 23. He’s getting PJs, and phone battery bank in his favourite colour, his football team branded toothbrush and keyring with handy bottle opener, a throw I’m crocheting in same footie colours. And cash towards a car.

mondaytosunday · 29/11/2025 23:34

Argh he’s 22!

FunnysInLaJardin · 29/11/2025 23:36

My 20 yo student is getting £350 towards his next tattoo. I suspect his priorities are very different to a 27 yo new dad!

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 30/11/2025 00:47

Mine is also getting money for another tattoo, as a surprise. The only other things he’s expressed any interest in over the last few years are:
headphones
Gucci scent
chocolate
socks
DMs
an Oodie

OSTMusTisNT · 30/11/2025 01:00

My 30 year old DS is getting a Next Hoodie, big pack of Brew Dog beer, aftershave and tin of sweets. He won't give me any suggestions and this is the best I've come up with.

His bday is imminent and he asked for a drill as he's always up to some DIY and those skilla will hopefully cone in handy when I'm needing looking after in my 80's 😆.

Total cost for Xmas probably £100.

Sunglasses and a shirt

salcombebabe · 30/11/2025 01:24

My son and his girlfriend are just about to buy a house together so I'm giving them money to get something for the house BUT have bought them a Mystery Guide (https://www.mysteryguides.co.uk/) for a city near them. I thought it would make for a different day out for them. I've also bought one for my daughter and her husband who are due a baby anytime soon, so thought the one for Stratford Upon Avon would be nice for a day out in the Spring/Summer with the baby and they're having money too for baby stuff

sleepandcoffee · 30/11/2025 03:34

decent bluetooth headphones and a spotify voucher
a great thermos flask
coffee machine
a smart projector - these are honestly great and my (31 year old) husband was thrilled with it.

ChewbaccasMrs · 30/11/2025 03:39

I've got 3 adult sons
One is getting a new jacket and trainers and some other little bits.
One's getting some new lounge wear,a dressing gown, slippers and I want to get him a nice wool jumper.
Our 3rd DS I don't have a clue,so far I've got him a snackverse box and some smellies,I'm still waiting for some suggestions from him.

CurlewKate · 30/11/2025 20:55

My DS is getting a lovely lambswool jumper from Community Clothing, some books and his stocking.

Alltheusefulitems · 01/12/2025 18:02

Mine is getting the same thing as he has the last few years. Car tax, MOT, service and insurance. With just a stocking on the big day.
