I don’t know him that well, he’s the dad of a good friend but he’s gone over and above several for me and my family recently. Literally saved my arse on so many occasions (and not just car related). Gives his time for nothing and always offering help.

I really want to get him something thoughtful for Christmas as a small token of my appreciation.

He has no hobbies, is a recovering alcoholic and spends all his time working or helping his daughter (my friend) with her horses or the livery yard she runs.

any suggestions? I was thinking maybe some really high quality winter workwear/yard wear but maybe that’s boring. Up to around £100

What about a Swiss multi-tool knife? You can get ones with loads of gadgets for about £70. A lot of 'handy' men would appreciate one.

I help my daughters with horses (they are teens!) and dc and dh got me warm socks and ariat jacket for my birthday. I have really appreciated them so I dont think boring.
