£10 Secret Santa - what to add to my wish list?

Workplace Secret Santa. £10 limit. We’re using an app this year where you can add things to a wish list. Having received far too many crap presents in previous years (Poundland mugs, cheap chocolate, cheap wine etc.), I’m keen to populate the wish list
, but cannot think what I might like.

All ideas welcome please.

For £10 or under my ideas would be:

A favorite food or drink specific type or brand - I'd be very happy with a big pot of Nutella or a couple of packets of chocolate digestives!
A pot plant or plant pot.
Pretty note pad.
Some branded nice scented nail oil Essie apricots nail and cuticle oil is a treat I like to keep on my desk.
Book voucher from my local bookstore, or one of their pre-wrapped lucky dip books as I trust their judgement, most of my colleagues not so much.
I quite like candles someone bought me a wood wick one last year and that was nice.

I’d definitely add a book (check you can get it for under £10)
Favourite chocolates
A little plant (maybe a cactus/succulent that could live on your desk)
Diary/planner/desk calendar

We’re doing a £10 Secret Santa too and I was going to get the recipient - who I don’t know at all, never even seen her - a Waterstones voucher and a bar of nice quality chocolate.

if possible include something that can be got in a last minute panic from the nearest shop to the office/venue or a supermarket. Then if the crap person who always forgets until the day has drawn you there's a chance you will get something you like!

A nice notebook

My list for £10 and under would be...
Adult Colouring books and pens
Small Lego set (or compatible brand)
Novelty Christmas tree decorations
Paperback novel
Miniature jigsaw puzzle
Bubble bath
Chocolate

What about a book token? They can be used in any bookshop, including Waterstones, but lets the recipient spend in an independent if they would rather.

Some funny ones could be
Gift card for Tesco
Gift card for Greggs
5 selection boxes
Bottle of Wimpy special sauce

GoodOnPaper · 26/11/2025 23:15

Things I would like:

Or I might ask for a surprise from the Ethical Superstore, a Christmas decoration or something for the garden - as I like lots of there stuff and there are a lot of nice options for under a tenner.
