Thread 12 - The one where it's All Pants (and socks)

1000 replies

RainbowZebraWarrior · 25/11/2025 20:27

Levi's pants and socks, that is. It's also exactly a month until Christmas!

Also, I have to thank @FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease for this quote, as it really tickled me: "Well it's not going to be the one where we found the fucking flamingo.
Honestly I'm starting to despise the stupid, elusive, constipated thing." Sadly, it was too long to make the thread title.

Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

here

I've bought a few to pass on to the local church for their clothing appeal thank you good spot.

MrsMattSantos · 26/11/2025 18:20

there was some chat on earlier threads about the pizza axes from Raven Forge - which are now reduced from £79.99 to £39.99
Have gifted one of these previously to my hard to buy for DBro and it went down well

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 26/11/2025 18:31

Whistlefish currently have Christmas cards 20 for £10

Tiredandannoyed2023 · 26/11/2025 18:32

For those buying from Hollister and have BLC the 15% discount applies with the 30% discount.

TheCrow · 26/11/2025 18:32

Warning to anyone buying anything in-store from Sports Direct that items bought between Oct 27th and Jan 4th can't be returned for a refund, they are credit note or exchange only.

Excellent idea, we have a local one that's collecting coats. I cant get the BF15 code to add?

juicyjellybaby · 26/11/2025 18:35

I’ve just checked my elf account and they have added a £6 reward for zero points and free delivery so so I got a concealer for £2 delivered. Might be worth checking to see if anyone else has it

hiredandsqueak · 26/11/2025 18:36

@nickdrakeslovechild No I couldn't either but £5 is a great price.

Lastfroginthebox · 26/11/2025 18:37

I don't know if this would be useful to anybody now, but I took an old stick blender to Currys for recycling recently and they gave me a card for £10 discount if I spent over £50. I was just about to buy a couple of things for Christmas presents so the £10 came in handy. (I'd price checked with several other places first of course.)

Gah bought from Hollister and now top is in sale collecting tonight from store - is there anything I can do to get at Black Friday price??

Same happened to me, I’m just repurchasing and returning the original.

Isn't that against the law? You should still be able to get a refund if goods are faulty.

Was just coming on to say the same thing. That's an awesome deal. Includes luxury cards. I know everyone always says it, but their cards are absolutely brilliant quality.

Interested in the toothbrush and the hot chocolate maker. It states you need chocolate flakes. If anyone has a similar maker can you confirm that you can just use normal hot chocolate powder?

Thanks

Help please bargain hunters!

I need to get joggers do my Dad, HOWEVER due to his legs swelling, they need to be non cuffed and looser around the ankles. Does anyone know where I could get some (preferably bargainous)?

also, not Xmas, but I have a last minute 21st birthday present to get (female) - any ideas? I could just get a toiletries gift set, but would like to get something a bit nicer/ more unusual if possible!

Would these work for your Dad?

Pintail candles were recommended by someone a few threads ago and I've since purchased a few of them. They have a random Christmas box worth £40 for £20 on until 1st December. You don't know what size of candles you'll get but it will be from their Christmas range. I've sniffed all the Christmas range and can definitely say they are good!

Oh man...... I am sitting on my hands because I REALLY want these but I already have a bunch of nice candles to work through

doistayordoigo · 26/11/2025 18:55

Could someone remind me of the 10% code for Levis please? I had the code applied to my basket but the jeans have gone out of stock and now the code has disappeared!

Arregaithel · 26/11/2025 18:46

Tesco. I bought some unhemmed (i.e. not cuffed) men's joggers there last week. Only £14 and really warm.

KillashandraRee · 26/11/2025 17:19

Thanks @RainbowZebraWarrior I’ve* *just looked and as I hadn’t bought from there before was able to apply new customer 20% off the mystery box, bringing it down to £16. With £4.95 postage it’s worth signing up to the emails for the code! Looking forward to some lovely smelly candles 🥰

I’ve signed up to their emails but not been sent a code. Am I missing something? I want the mystery box!!

QVCismyJam · 26/11/2025 19:03

Thanks "@Chocolateteabag" for reply but the Wellbeing mini pod is waterless so the oil has to screw into the machine inside (if that doesnt sound weird). So I wondered if the other oils worked in the machine itself. I have gone down the rabbit hole with this present beginning to think should have stuck with something else! Thxs for replying tho it is appreciated.

Can anyone recommend one of those toy claw machines? DD wants one ‘exactly’ like the arcade but they don’t look very convincing! Ideally one that fits small toys too!

Can't personally recommend it but Lidl have one in their christmas catalogue available in store from the 11th dec. I think they've had them before so someone might be able to give feedback if it's the same one

BeaLola · 26/11/2025 19:06

mumonthehill · 26/11/2025 16:58

Does anyone know of anywhere other than M and S that does nice walnut whips or something like them? Just trying to find a different version of a stocking stalwart!

Similar ish but M&S do the big chunky mallow bar - £7:50. Called Whip off the old block or something like that.

Isn't that against the law? You should still be able to get a refund if goods are faulty.

You can probably still get a refund if it's a faulty item but not if you've just changed your mind or wrong size etc.

Hasn’t this always been the case with Sports Direct? I known this for a number of years now (unless it changed recently).

Puffalicious · 26/11/2025 19:13

I've just looked & rapidly have 20 in my basket. Are there any other offers on their usual cards? Thinking I'd add to make up to the £25 for free delivery, but not wanting to pay full price for them if you know what I mean.

Whatthecluckingcluck · 26/11/2025 19:14

@nothingtoseehereatall they rejected me as well which is a laugh as I’ve previously had an amazon Credit card when it was with the old supplier, with a 5k limit (very useful when I was paying for a wedding)
If I remember correctly, Barclaycard got a telling off for giving too many people credit cards with large balances.
So now I don’t both. I still with my m&s one I’ve had for half my life and earn my “pants points” to spend as I like! Xx
