Thread 12 - The one where it's All Pants (and socks)

1000 replies

RainbowZebraWarrior · 25/11/2025 20:27

Levi's pants and socks, that is. It's also exactly a month until Christmas!

Also, I have to thank @FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease for this quote, as it really tickled me: "Well it's not going to be the one where we found the fucking flamingo.
Honestly I'm starting to despise the stupid, elusive, constipated thing." Sadly, it was too long to make the thread title.

Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

I’ve just received one of these footballs if anyone has a football mad girl to buy for, I got it from Amazon but just looked and the website also offers boxed and gift sets which are cool.Amazon link

I can't get Pintails to either let me use a referral £5 off or sign up as a new customer for 20% off. Any clues as to where I am going wrong?

KTSl1964 · 26/11/2025 19:16

Sports direct are a law unto themselves - be very careful ordering from them. I was going to buy trainers for my son but he wasn't there to try them on - they told me it would be a credit note only if I returned them.

I've just looked & rapidly have 20 in my basket. Are there any other offers on their usual cards? Thinking I'd add to make up to the £25 for free delivery, but not wanting to pay full price for them if you know what I mean.

Ignore me! I've found the greetings cards £10 for 10!

I used data rather than WiFi and I could sign up. DS has put what he calls "parental controls" on 🤔

@nickdrakeslovechild Ah sorry. It worked last night but perhaps a glitch that's now fixed.

Thanks "@Chocolateteabag" for reply but the Wellbeing mini pod is waterless so the oil has to screw into the machine inside (if that doesnt sound weird). So I wondered if the other oils worked in the machine itself. I have gone down the rabbit hole with this present beginning to think should have stuck with something else! Thxs for replying tho it is appreciated.

I have just tested this and the Nikura oils that I have come in a very slightly larger bottle that the Neom one. You can screw in the diffuser bit but then it doesn't sit flush inside the unit (I just tried it).

My Nikura oil is from last winter so it's possible they've changed their bottles since then.

The other option is to decant the cheaper oil into the empty Neom bottle.

PearlTeapot · 26/11/2025 19:35

I tried it, Nikura won't fit in Neom mini diffuser. Sorry :(

Could someone remind me of the 10% code for Levis please? I had the code applied to my basket but the jeans have gone out of stock and now the code has disappeared!

It’s automatic, no
code to enter

I have the wellbeing mini pod. It comes with an empty bottle , so you can decant other oils into it then add to the pod.
Will say that the pod oils last a really long time, and do not need to be replaced very often.
The spray from the pod is very minimal and alot less than you get from other makes .
Most of the time you cant even see it happening.
However the plus is that the USB charge lasts forever. Ive had it since April and not yet had to recharge it.
I often get the neom oils from txmaxx in the sales.
I reccomend it as a smaller discreet one, compared to other brands.

I've just spent a very lovely half hour browsing Whistlefish. 20 beautiful Xmas cards coming my way, and 20 cards for the year meaning I'm organised for birthdays/ anniversaries/ graduations/ Valentine's/ new home. Delighted that I'm so organised!

Warning to anyone buying anything in-store from Sports Direct that items bought between Oct 27th and Jan 4th can't be returned for a refund, they are credit note or exchange only.

Is this legal? I try really hard not to shop there anyway but this just reinforces why

FuelledByRageAndHaribo · 26/11/2025 20:17

ALLSAINTS have 30% off everything but if you go through TopCashback there’s another 25% off

Right on last couple of gifts for adults I think. Any inspiration for management please - someone who loves baths and pillow sprays?

Edited

Depending on budget, Next have a sleep beauty box for £35. It could be split for various gifts

My No 7 ‘Cleanse and Renew’ gift set from yesterday’s £10 Tuesday at Boots has arrived, and it’s in a beautiful gift box. The sticker says contents worth over £58, and their ‘Future Perfect’ range is the one I use anyway.

It’s the sort of thing which is likely to reappear on a £10 Tuesday and sell out quickly, so worth looking out for if you have an older person to buy for. As I wrote on an earlier thread and someone else has commented more recently, sometimes things come back into stock later in the day.

The box itself is 8” high, has no branding on it, and is dark green with festive gold speckles all over it.

The Next Premium glow up box is reduced to £36.00. Good value and might be nice for anyone going on a winter break to sunnier climes.

Can anyone help with Hollister jeans sizing please?! I want to get some new jeans in the sale but can’t figure out what size.

I’m a 10 in M&S and 29” waist in 7 for all mankind (from TK Maxx). Looking at the size chart it looks like I should convert to the US size but a uk review says she bought a size 14 which is her normal size . Any help greatly appreciated!

Solmum1964 · 26/11/2025 21:04

Just been checking the Everyday Offers on Lloyds Bank and there is 15% cashback at Abbott Lyon.
I've never used them but seen them recommended on earlier threads,

If it's any help I'm a 12 and buy an 8 for high rise and a 10 for low rise at Hollister - I like low riser roomier so they sit on my hips.

PumpkinSpicedTea · 26/11/2025 21:33

So much choice on Whistlefish! Very impressed. Also on Topcashback.

Thanks for info on Boots £10. Missed No7 this week but didn't go back to check so will so that next time.
