Thread 12 - The one where it's All Pants (and socks)

1000 replies

RainbowZebraWarrior · 25/11/2025 20:27

Levi's pants and socks, that is. It's also exactly a month until Christmas!

Also, I have to thank @FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease for this quote, as it really tickled me: "Well it's not going to be the one where we found the fucking flamingo.
Honestly I'm starting to despise the stupid, elusive, constipated thing." Sadly, it was too long to make the thread title.

Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

@Wallaroo21 how did you get the advent calender for that price please?

Hunnybadger1 · 29/11/2025 07:30

The cheese advent calendar is still showing full price for me at checkout - was there a code?

XxTigerlilyxx · 29/11/2025 07:41

Wallaroo21 · 29/11/2025 06:50

I ordered the chuckling cheese advent for an early Christmas present for my mum. Delivered Monday supposedly, so just in time! It let me check out with just that in the basket nothing else, for £12.09 including delivery.

Have I missed a code? Showing 24 for me

I added something else and then there was a pop up offering the advent calendar discounted

Wallaroo21 · 29/11/2025 08:03

I added something to the basket and it offered me the discounted calendar and then I deleted the first item from the basket.

@Beautifulsunflowers if you still need a dark chocolate Toblerone they had the big ones at London City airport last week, I’ll be there again next week and would be happy to get one for you.

That’s really kind of you and much appreciated however he’s almost 24 and understands that Santa has his limits!! His girlfriend bought him one from duty free earlier in the year so he’s not completely lost out!

Beautifulsunflowers · 29/11/2025 08:10

Fuckingfuckssake · 29/11/2025 00:29

@Beautifulsunflowers sadly that relative hasn’t been abroad this year hence no Toblerone, I was just thinking about you the other day!!

My sons girlfriend bought him one earlier in the year when she went abroad, although didn’t save it for Christmas!
He is 24 now so maybe it’s time for a new tradition to start….🤣

Very silly Chuckling Cheese question please. !

I presume all products need to be stored in a fridge before gifting ?

How do I fit an Advent Calenders in my fridge ??

How have I never known about this company before !!?

DS will be in cheese heaven !! 🤣🤣

Yes it says it needs to be refrigerated. I have the same issue, I want it but it's going to be massive!

Shelly421 · 29/11/2025 08:12

Yes you need a fair bit of space in the fridge for it. I got it last year so haven't gone for it a second time around, but certainly something to keep in mind for anyone else buying.

There's a smaller cheese advent calendar available at Sainsbury's this year. It was £13 when I saw it yesterday, but they are often reduced come Monday 1st.

It's about the same size, just slightly 'chunkier' than a standard cadburys chocolate advent calendar, so not huge.

Sideorderofchips · 29/11/2025 08:35

Oooo thank you for the cheese advent calendar!! Ordered one for my dad. Hes very excited

Sideorderofchips · 29/11/2025 08:36

Think next thread title should be 'the one with the cheesy advent calendar'

Hunnybadger1 · 29/11/2025 08:44

The cheese advent calendar is stubbornly staying the full price for me!

BadgerFace · 29/11/2025 08:46

Whoevenarethey · 29/11/2025 07:15

Thanks for all the bargains. Slightly related, but does anyone have a parcel box/how do you keep your deliveries safe this time of year when you work all day? Thanks

We have a plastic box for parcels down the side of our front door. It’s not got a lock or anything but I think is better than having parcels left in view of the street.

Thanks. We don't really have room by our door for anything too big and I wasn't sure whether this would make things more obvious. But I guess it would raise suspicions in the street if people saw someone else coming to our door and looking in a box. Might have to work out the size of my orders and see if a suitable box will fit.

Remove it from the basket. Add something else and it will be offered to you cheap

Try this..

Go to the menu on the home page. Click on cheese, click on truckles, add the first truckle you come to. Go to your basket, the truckle will be there along with an option to add the advent for 8.99. Add the advent, then remove the truckle and the advent stays at 8.99

Hunnybadger1 · 29/11/2025 09:05

Thanks so much for the help - I have ordered the cheese advent calendar at last!

zacsGranny · 29/11/2025 09:06

Don't want to be the spectre at the feast, but Chuckling Cheese let me down badly last year. No delivery and almost two months before I got a refund.

They did the same for me with my db’s present. But I caved last night and ordered 🤞

IlovePond · 29/11/2025 09:11

Oh dear - I wish I had seen these last posts before I caved and became a cheese calendar 🐑🙀🙀🙀

BrightWolf · 29/11/2025 09:16

The mini brands advent calendars are down to £9.99 on Amazon. Popular with family kids age 6-10. Sorry can’t link as I have the Amazon app so no web address to copy.
build a bear calendar is £25 down from £35.
