Thread 12 - The one where it's All Pants (and socks)

1000 replies

RainbowZebraWarrior · 25/11/2025 20:27

Levi's pants and socks, that is. It's also exactly a month until Christmas!

Also, I have to thank @FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease for this quote, as it really tickled me: "Well it's not going to be the one where we found the fucking flamingo.
Honestly I'm starting to despise the stupid, elusive, constipated thing." Sadly, it was too long to make the thread title.

Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

WEIRDFISH have a really good sale. I got a hoodie for ds1 and fleece for my dil. They have 50% off lots of items and an extra 20% off today. They also have a spin to win at the top of the page and I got free postage. It said it didn’t stack with other deals but it did.

Also Brakeburn, that I have never shopped with before, had men’s hoodies at good prices. That was ds2 and ds3 sorted.

I’m more or less finished. Well, I was until I saw the Gruum perfumes and got them for dil. I now need another gift each for the boys!

Friends teenage daughter wish list item: "the M&S dupe fragrance in a pink bottle " - which one does she mean ??? - it can't be that "new" as she had tried it before they went on holiday in June - any ideas (?) thank you

I've got the M&S Soft Iris perfume which is pink. It's a dupe of Coco Mademoiselle (also mentioned by a PP) and it's really nice. But yes, prob best just to ask!

A suggestion for those struggling with ideas for older kids that went down so well with DS10 last year that it's top of his list this year, and I think will be each year until he has his own income.

I got a large gift box tower and filled it with his favourite snacks. It was quite expensive but we bought most of it from a local wholesaler making it a bit cheaper and it meant not buying him many snacks for the next couple of months, so not too bad in the long run. He got some crisps, etc. that he normally can only get from the youth club tuck shop as the wholesaler is the only place we've found them locally and he got lindor in the top one to make it a bit more special and a few blind bags toys mixed in too. He absolutely loved having his own snacks just for him rather than "family snacks" that anyone can eat.

I only did it as the things he'd asked for were all small and his present pile was going to look a bit pitiful next to his little sister's with all the chunky packaging that younger kids toys come in.

Has anyone come across any bargainous deals on Jo Malone reed diffusers? My great Auntie loves them - The lime and mandarin one in particular, cheapest I have found is £59.99 on Tk Maxx but still a bit out of my price range - thank you lovely MNrs 💚

Worth checking Elf if you’re a member. It’s free postage today and I had a £4 surprise reward plus £1 of reward points to redeem so got a £9 product delivered for £4.

If you’re with Octopus energy they’re doing codes to get a bunch for £8, I think it’s tomorrow. I can try and get you a code otherwise as I won’t be using it.

I’m with octopus - what do I need to do to get the code? Thank you and sorry for a basic question - I couldn’t find the answer in my email inbox.

ExhaustedHousewife · 28/11/2025 18:56

Absolutely loving this little corner of MN,just like every year! EXPRESSDEL gives free delivery at debenhams when you spend £25, and BEAUTY5 gives an extra 5% off the beauty section when you spend £20 on said beauty.

Does anyone know if Lush usually do Black Friday deals please? Nothing on there at the moment so I’m not hopeful.
All I want is a bath bomb for DS as he requests one every year (specifically has to be Lush unfortunately!) but I resent paying full price plus delivery just for that!

Ceejadess · 28/11/2025 19:01

I am almost done! (Thanks to this group) but still have my two brother in laws left, any ideas under £15? They are 23 & 32 and I have already got them both a set of Levi socks 😂

@BarryKentPoet (amazing username!) hopefully not, just going by a previous poster who suggested the delay was due to them being US based and Thanksgiving. Either way that would be 10 working days from order to shipping which seems excessive.

My tracking is linking to my Evri app (I ordered 25th) x

My Octopus app says the flowers offer is next Tuesday. Click on the Pink Friday banner in the home page and go from there.

Has anyone bought a gift card from Cutter and Squidge with the 40% off offer? I have tried adding one to my basket but the price goes up when I add it. Also does anyone know if the gift card can be used with a refer a friend code?

I think people had spoken recently about avoiding Debenhams bc their service isn't great. I can't remember the details but I think they wouldn't accept a return.

Does anyone know of any Smyths discounts please? I remember seeing some on previous threads but search is failing me
