Thread 12 - The one where it's All Pants (and socks)

1000 replies

RainbowZebraWarrior · 25/11/2025 20:27

Levi's pants and socks, that is. It's also exactly a month until Christmas!

Also, I have to thank @FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease for this quote, as it really tickled me: "Well it's not going to be the one where we found the fucking flamingo.
Honestly I'm starting to despise the stupid, elusive, constipated thing." Sadly, it was too long to make the thread title.

Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

They do do a referral, you get £25 off and I get £10 so I’ll put it on the other thread

hby9628 · 27/11/2025 21:05

@WimbyAceis that the one with the capsules? That does look good actually because it can be filled with different treats

Yes signed in but now admitted defeat

I signed in, the main screen showed the full price, but when I went to basket the discount was applied.

Snag have 30% off everything for BF. I've stocked up on tights.

Thanks for this!

I also noticed these half-green half-pink tights which might be a good present for a Wicked fan…

my sister and my daughter are obsessed with what tastes best and value for money so I did them a hamper of baked beans from various places years ago - I put them in a cat food box - good fun but I can’t remember the results! Didn’t cost a lot either.

Great sale on crocs with free shipping blue light card stacks with sale . Just bought an adult pair £17.50 crocs

Are blue light card discounts easy to sign up for? I do work for the nhs but I’ve not looked into it!

Theimpossiblegirl · 27/11/2025 21:13

I got my jellycat keyring latte thingy from Anthropologie today. Thanks for that one!

Sleeposaurus · 27/11/2025 21:19

Yes very easy. Sign up for a minimal fee. Access loads of offers on the app. I got really excellent discount with the crocs a month or so ago. Good for days out etc too.

WimbyAce · 27/11/2025 21:21

BLC Virgin wine offer looks good, are they decent wines?

MiTu · 27/11/2025 21:26

Has anyone had/given a Curlimals toy and can give me any idea of whether they would be ok as a token stocking filler gift for two 4-yr olds, one boy and one girl? Thinking of blue badger (boy) and either higgle hedgehog or baby luna (girl) but not sure if they are going to look/be rubbish? Any info appreciated! Ta.

Has anyone seen any deals on gift cards at all? I know Tesco have 20% off but their selection is minimal and only includes miller and carter, all bar one and harvester.

You are a star, thank you! Was going to get my sister a M+C voucher with 10% off via TCB, but you've saved me even more so thank you 🥰

For anyone interested, here’s how the baked bean advent calendar has turned out 😆Decided against the pain of carving 24 doors out so have just numbered the tins and made a single door instead! Reckon it was about £8.50 all in

this is brilliant!!

fishfingersandchipsagain · 27/11/2025 21:31

@Londonmummy66 and @PenguinTattoo thank you so much. Excellent recommendations. Between everyone’s he’ll I’ve got enough for about the next 2-3 years of birthdays and Christmas now! 😁

I love these threads!!!

N96 · 27/11/2025 21:33

As I now won't be seeing them over the Festive Season I am looking for any recommendation for a hamper type gift to send to a family comprising Maw, Paw and three adult weans. Some like chocolate, others cheese, some like wine others don't drink. You know the kind of thing.
I know there have been many recommendation for various deals on hampers but I don't remember something that would have such mixed content to have something to suit everyone.
Any ideas would be welcome.

BrightWolf · 27/11/2025 21:36

Does anyone know if Game do any discounts please?

christmasfish · 27/11/2025 21:48

Amazing Co do really lovely clue-solving picnics where you "win" an ingredient to your picnic from local cafes for each clue you solve. This makes a fabulous gift for someone who prefers experiences to clutter - and is also a nice thing you can do together as a couple's present.

Today they have 20% off gift cards with GIFT20 - but you can also stack this with a referral code if you're canny. (Mine is on the Referrals thread).

  1. Buy gift card for desired value using GIFT20 to get 20% off
  2. Redeem gift card through another account / email address using a referral code for a further discount
  3. Eat ALL the cheese.

HiSmile have several electric toothbrushes for £1 this evening, can anyone help with tonight's riddle?

Golden ring with spiced-up grace. A swirl of warmth in breakfast’s place. Crispy outside, soft within. Guess the treat with cinnamon grin

QueenOfThorns · 27/11/2025 22:04

@MamaRoly it’s pink lemonade. Just ordered a black one!

ETA: we clearly didn’t get the same riddle! Yours is cinnamon donut

Restlessinthenorth · 27/11/2025 22:04

Just got the coffee jelly cat charm from Anthropologie. What an absolute bargain! Great suprise for my teen. Thanks whoever shared it!

Not massively easy no, you do have to send proof of employment and wait for it to be verified. It’s worth it though, I use the discount all the time.

Whatthecluckingcluck · 27/11/2025 22:09

Some vouchers are already in Quidco for tomorrow. £10, £15 or £20 for various things. You have to click on the pictures to see what they are for. Xx

applecrumblespider · 27/11/2025 22:10

Anyone got any idea for a toiletry gift set for just turned 11 year old boy. He hasn't started using deodorant yet so want to include that. Ideally not Lynx - something more natural or at least subtler!
