Thread 12 - The one where it's All Pants (and socks)

1000 replies

RainbowZebraWarrior · 25/11/2025 20:27

Levi's pants and socks, that is. It's also exactly a month until Christmas!

Also, I have to thank @FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease for this quote, as it really tickled me: "Well it's not going to be the one where we found the fucking flamingo.
Honestly I'm starting to despise the stupid, elusive, constipated thing." Sadly, it was too long to make the thread title.

Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

I did a search but couldnt find the post I'm looking for. Someone mentioned the Lego Pink Roses being reduced somewhere, can anyone recall where it was?

MamaRoly · 27/11/2025 22:15

Thank you @QueenOfThorns , I am rubbish at riddles and your first answer made me snort! I had tried myself but spelt doughnut the English way 🙄 but your spelling worked so thank you. Hopefully these electric toothbrushes and funky toothpaste will be a quirky stocking filler. My postage was less this time as well at £5.99 instead of £7.99 🤷‍♀️

sillygoof · 27/11/2025 22:16

Is Made By Mitchell makeup any good for a young teen? Cheap Boots x Made By Mitchell edit, £17.50

Thank you so much for who first spotted the Anthropologie codes. I have the mini bear for just delivery with one and a grumpy frog Christmas tree for a bargain with the other. My DD is going to totally freak out when she opens these. Still think the frog is weird as f**k but my DD loved him when she saw him in a local garden centre.

Haha, that’s very strange! The pink lemonade unfortunately came with the more expensive postage fee, but that’s the way the cookie crumbles, I guess!

Aaargh, my Clarins Black Friday order has arrived, but no lovely free gift. I’ve contacted customer services so fingers crossed.

Some vouchers are already in Quidco for tomorrow. £10, £15 or £20 for various things. You have to click on the pictures to see what they are for. Xx

Thank you for the heads up! I have my list ready for tomorrow but great to grab these early.

Hghlandlooo · 27/11/2025 22:37

My dad has asked for a heated body warmer. I’m sure I’ve seen recommendations on here but can’t find them now.

I only have 2 Jellycats come up when I search. What is the grumpy frog called? My son has the normal one, and wants to collect them all!

@AndSoFinally why do they never wear a coat?!

Thanks for all the suggestions; unfortunately a lot of them are things he already has but I like the idea of a really nice toiletry hamper of bits he'd never buy himself.

Also thinking of some stuff he could take to America when he travels next summer but coming up empty.

Thanks everyone though!

Does he have a good rucksack/ suitcase for travelling? Power banks and adaptors for tech? Guide book for wherever he’s going? Gift vouchers to use in the US (hotels, experiences etc)

It's ricky the rain frog he keeps going in and out of stock. I tried about 10 times before it let me check out.

I got him for £30 plus postage with the £20 discount. Still stupid amount of money for a really ugly frog but my DD just adores frogs and loved him when she saw him.

Restlessinthenorth · 27/11/2025 23:06

If anyone else has a teen boy who is mad for Nike socks (all the rage in these parts), Footasylum has a pack of six for £15 when you use code NIKE25. If you chose to collect from store there is no delivery charge

PlanBea · 27/11/2025 23:07

I've just ordered DH boxers from Step One after reading rave reviews. Instead of £15 a pair they are £10.50, but I ordered 10 for the bundle discount then the code TOM15 took another discount off so they were under £48 delivered. Some colours have bigger discounts too!

BLC Virgin wine offer looks good, are they decent wines?

Yes!! 😂 I meant to keep them for Christmas but might have sampled some!!

Has anyone else had issues with the Valentino beauty website linked a couple of pages back? I ordered an aftershave and it wouldn't accept my home address for postage so I used the local evri collection point as per the drop down menu but it's been in transit since the 17th. I'm getting a bit desperate now as it's for a birthday on monday. I've checked the evri point and can't find a working phone number anywhere for the valentino beauty site, the email doesn't accept incoming emails

The trustpilot reviews are awful with delivery problems and incorrect items being sent are the most common.

slipperypenguin · 27/11/2025 23:48

Does anyone know what size of represent jumper for a 10 year old boy? It’s only men’s sizes. Thinking XXS but obviously the super discounted one isn’t in stock in that size !

Solmum1964 · 27/11/2025 23:56

L'Occitane have increased their discount to 25% for Black Friday.
Really annoyed as I only placed an order a few hours ago. I've emailed to see if I can get a refund but as it's for click and collect I'll see if I can return and repurchase in store.

Mrssalvatore123 · 28/11/2025 00:17

Well I had my oodie basket ready to check out but wanted to wait until it was officially bf just in case and the bloody prices have gone up!

the oodie I wanted is £3 more and the blanket has risen a whole £11 from 11pm to midnight. I feel like I’m constantly on the wrong side of the deals this year- boo

thaegumathteth · 28/11/2025 00:32
