Thread 12 - The one where it's All Pants (and socks)

1000 replies

RainbowZebraWarrior · 25/11/2025 20:27

Levi's pants and socks, that is. It's also exactly a month until Christmas!

Also, I have to thank @FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease for this quote, as it really tickled me: "Well it's not going to be the one where we found the fucking flamingo.
Honestly I'm starting to despise the stupid, elusive, constipated thing." Sadly, it was too long to make the thread title.

Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

Anyone waiting on Funko still? I ordered on 16th November and tracking says expected 5th December even though it'll is apparently in Surrey atm, which is about an hour away!

Puffalicious · 26/11/2025 23:49

Arregaithel · 26/11/2025 23:20

Could you cancel and re-order @Puffalicious

Their terms require you to absorb return postage though

Thanks, but not worth it for £6. Postage would probably be similar as there's 30 cards coming. Ah well, such is life.

Can anyone recommend a tablet for an 8 year old that doesn’t have an iPad price tag? Thanks x

We have had one of the small Samsung tablets, maybe an A7, for 4 or 5 years – it's been a good family tablet. It's starting to struggle now, and I've just ordered the A11 from John Lewis whilst it's price matched: https://www.johnlewis.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-a11-tablet-android-wi-fi-8-7-inch/silver/p114370543?size=128gb

Our experience is that a bit more RAM and a bit more hard drive space mean the tablet lasts longer (not all apps seem to work well with SD card storage), and right now the price match means the higher spec version is cheaper than the lower spec version (as long as you don't mind the silver colour!).

Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Tablet, Android, 8GB RAM, Wi-Fi, 8.7", Silver, 128GB

Buy Samsung Galaxy Tab A11 Tablet, Android, Wi-Fi, 8.7" from our View All Tablets range at John Lewis & Partners. Free Delivery on orders over £70.

Nikura have 25% off everything. Does anyone have one of their diffusers and would you recommend it? Or is it worth spending more on a Neom one?

I have the Misti diffuser from Nikura and highly rate it. I’ve not tried the Neom mini pod which would be the equivalent from them but do have the full size water one which I also like very much. Misti has the advantage that it can take other brands bottles and apparently the Neom mini can’t. On the other hand, the Neom one looks posher so maybe nicer for a gift.

Can anyone recommend a neck serum? My sis would like one. Budget around £25.

do you think we are at best price for oodies? I have a basket full

Yes. They’ve been a nightmare. I would never order directly from them again. Missing items, items still not dispatched after nearly 3 weeks, and a very disappointing custom figure.

Anyone else finding a lot of this year's deals (in general) unappealing? Most of the Black Friday deals have left me a bit cold compared to previous years...

STom2 · 27/11/2025 06:29

This animal anthology book is now 50% off. I've been watching a while and it's the lowest I've seen it go to. Purchased the space one via bargain recommendation on this thread and they are beautiful books.

I agree. I haven't found anything I wanted. I think it's because original prices have gone up so much. I usually buy a family member quite a nice piece of jewellery from somewhere like Monica Vinader. It feels like the 50% of price is what they used to cost full price. That's probably an exaggeration but it's not far wrong.

Thank you. It is just for me, so for the price, I will go for the Nikura. Another Christmas present to me sorted. I have done very well this year.

What was the offer on snag tights please? Is there a code?
The chub rub shorts are amazing. Would like the tights to match as normal ones roll down.

If anyone is looking for adult size Crocs Cozzzy slippers, you can have them delivered for £30 from asos today using the additional code GET15 (this basically covers the cost of delivery, so cheaper if you already have a delivery pass). Remember topcashback too.

also - there’s up to 40% off sale stuff at Anthropologie with a couple of nice bags in the sale which come down to £20-30 after the discount.

sadly not able to use your £20 perks code on the sale stuff.

Beingacatbed · 27/11/2025 07:50

For the poster who was looking for the lego bouquet pretty pink version it is currently on Amazon for £37.99 which seems to be the lowest i’ve spotted.

Tempted by these.. Do you know if they are really thick socks? I want some which are warm but not too thick so they can be worn with shoes. Thanks.

they are thicker than say a black work sock from M&S or Next but not as thick as a hiking sock. I wear mine with DrM loafers.

Notlongnow1 · 27/11/2025 08:05

Thanks @barrykentpoet and sorry to hear that @fishfingersandchipsagain

Really hoping nothing missing when they eventually arrive as these are my son's santa gifts 🎁 🎅 At least in good time this year to source elsewhere if needed.

The person that wanted a double duvet - Matalan sell
them and they are doing 25% off home

TheBigBagBabes · 27/11/2025 08:17

Not a bargain but Oasis have reissued all of their merch from the tour this year including the adidas range if anyone missed out! They’re also doing a pop up shop in London

HayuBingeWatcher · 27/11/2025 08:22

Sockshop crackers are currently 40% off down to £9.99
SPIN20 stacks for an extra 20%
BDAY5WEC8 is my b’day code which I haven’t used - it’s 15% - doesn’t stack with the 20%
the crackers are really sturdy and have a snap in them
I’ve taken the socks out to add them to a 25 day calendar and I’ll easily be able to refill the sock shop crackers
maybe use them for the table, tree presents or to add to stockings
