Thread 12 - The one where it's All Pants (and socks)

1000 replies

RainbowZebraWarrior · 25/11/2025 20:27

Levi's pants and socks, that is. It's also exactly a month until Christmas!

Also, I have to thank @FortnumsWeddingBreakfastTeaPlease for this quote, as it really tickled me: "Well it's not going to be the one where we found the fucking flamingo.
Honestly I'm starting to despise the stupid, elusive, constipated thing." Sadly, it was too long to make the thread title.

Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or you think would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

As we move towards actual Black Friday (does that even exist any more?) the threads tend to move very quickly. It can be helpful to post your bargain in bold. This can be done by adding an asterxix either side of a word with no gap in between. So Levi's would be Levi's

Whistlefish cards actually make a nice gift in themselves for any elderly relatives. Buy one of their tins and fill it with a selection of greeting cards, notelets, a book of stamps plus a nice pen.

QVCismyJam · 26/11/2025 21:41

Thanks so much "@VikingNorthUtsire" "@PearlTeapot " and "@Elainey1609" for taking the time to check and post about the wellbeing pod and the oils to fit. Honestly appreciate your help - thxs again 😀has saved me stressing about it.

lifelongfrugaleer · 26/11/2025 21:41

Hollister is American sizes. My dd is a uk 12 and gets an 8 which is most comfortable on her. She can get away with a 6 too depending on the fit. 8 for slimmer fit

exchange’s are free for other sizes, refunds are charged

Delahot · 26/11/2025 21:42

Can anyone point me to the cheapest place to buy Rabanne Million Gold Men’s aftershave please.

Perzival · 26/11/2025 21:54

Just used Join20 at whistlefish (new customer) for 20% off. It worked on the 20 cards for £10 offer too. Thank you to the poster.

IlovePond · 26/11/2025 22:00

@juicyjellybaby thanks for the ELF tip. I cashed in my points to get a free mini eye cream and bought a different mini eye cream. With the £6 reward and free postage, my order came to £1!

Arregaithel · 26/11/2025 22:00

@Delahot 100ml £77.95 + 5% off if you sign up, ~ £74.00

Don't know if that would be a decent price for you?

200ml for £102.95 (~£98 if you subscribe)

Does anyone know of anywhere other than M and S that does nice walnut whips or something like them? Just trying to find a different version of a stocking stalwart!

Aldi had a box of 6 original ones for £3.49 today

welcometotheblackparadee · 26/11/2025 22:09

The hismile code this being is “pancake” if anyone needs it btw

Anyone seen a good deal on a double duvet? 😂

We've been quite impressed with the George Home soft touch duvets.

AndSoFinally · 26/11/2025 22:15

Sparks have currently got 20% off duvets if you have that offer @slipperypenguin

Yeknom · 26/11/2025 22:16

@Sideorderofchipsthank you for the reminder must add “Santa wrap” to my to do list…may I ask where the hello kitty paper was from? Thanks :)

Tesco. I bought some unhemmed (i.e. not cuffed) men's joggers there last week. Only £14 and really warm.

Currently 25% off F&F clothing with Clubcard until Monday and presume if you have Clubcard Plus a further 10% off too.

Boots have a good offer on, also on the 100ml version which I bought at the weekend.

Hotel Chocolat have various boxes on offer at Amazon with most discounts around 25% off which beats the Hotel Chocolat website. Only part of my order has arrived but one item did have a best before date of December 25. It all looked as it should though so depends how much best before dates both you...

Nordic socks have 50% off. Their wool crew socks are lovely but not at full price

Tempted by these.. Do you know if they are really thick socks? I want some which are warm but not too thick so they can be worn with shoes. Thanks.

Thatsanotherfinemess1 · 26/11/2025 22:54

Has anyone else had issues with the Valentino beauty website linked a couple of pages back? I ordered an aftershave and it wouldn't accept my home address for postage so I used the local evri collection point as per the drop down menu but it's been in transit since the 17th. I'm getting a bit desperate now as it's for a birthday on monday. I've checked the evri point and can't find a working phone number anywhere for the valentino beauty site, the email doesn't accept incoming emails

BananaPeachPie · 26/11/2025 22:57

Nikura have 25% off everything. Does anyone have one of their diffusers and would you recommend it? Or is it worth spending more on a Neom one?

Oh FGS! I just spent £30 & didn't know about this! When was that posted? I'm so annoyed as that would have been a decent saving.

Is there a code for this please? I can only see a £5 reduction on the website 🤔

Could you cancel and re-order @Puffalicious

Their terms require you to absorb return postage though

IlovePond · 26/11/2025 23:26

@Thatsanotherfinemess1 - Valentino-beauty have terrible reviews on TP - and weirdly no reviews at all between Jan 25 and this week, when a review was left.

It’s not a company I have ever heard of, but I tend to distrust those that try to piggyback off famous brands by giving themselves similar names.

Did you pay by PP? If so, you could try claiming back the money if your item doesn’t turn up in a few days. PayPal do expect you to contact the company first to request a refund but if this isn’t possible then they may make an exception, (they did for me once with a company without contact details).

Otherwise you could try claiming it back via your CC. Again they will insist you go to the company first, but if you can prove there aren’t any contact details, you may get lucky.

Just catching up on the thread after going to see elf the musical at a local theatre for my birthday 🎉

Thanks for the Whistlefish tip - just ordered 20 Xmas cards for £8.75 including p&p as I had £5 off voucher on my account.

Also thanks for the elf tip - had a £4 reward on my account so ordered one of my fave lip glosses for £1 delivered 🥰
