Scooters for 7/8 year olds

Hello my children have put new scooters on their lists. They have a micro mini which is way too small now and need something to suit their age (7 &8). 7 year old requests a 2 wheeler, 8 year old a 3 wheeler. I was just going to get the next size up micro but at over £100 I feel like it's not worth it for how often my two use them, they're not on them daily. Question is are any of the cheaper brands ok?? I've seen things abt wheels coming off in 2 months so dont want to buy something that'll fall apart but equally over £100 seems excessive. Any recommendations? TIA

My DCs have had their Globber scooters for 3 years and they are very robust. Even I can use them!

Thank you do you know which model they are? Are they suitable for 7/8 yo? There seems to be so many different ones my head is spinning x

My kids are a little older now (mid teens) so no doubt the market has changed, but we always stuck with MicroScooters. All other scooter brands owned by their friends were crap in comparison- noisy, wobbly wheels, failing brakes etc. I’ve always been able to sell our used MicroScooters for a reasonable price so overall they’re not as expensive as they first seem (and cheaper than buying several rubbish ones)!

Thank you - I did wonder whether that would be the case! We were happy with the quality of their micro ones when they fitted them, just the price of the bigger ones seems so much! But I might see if I can spruce their old ones up to sell x
