Christmas request for Super Nintendo World Merch.

Wahh!!! 😭

DS has put in a request for some merch from one of the Super Nintendo World places. "Either a snowman mario plush or a chef toad plush."

"I know we aren't rich and we can't go there on a plane but maybe Santa can bring me a toy from there?".

There's some on eBay but with a massive markup that I can't really afford, and I don't know if they're trustworthy sellers, or if they're fake products.

Has anyone else had a random Xmas request like this that they've found they might not manage?

If I can't, I can't. But maybe I'm missing an obvious solution or source here?

Does he just want a Mario plush toy thing? We bought a giant toad 🍄 from Smyths a couple of years ago for ds. I think HMV also sell mario/nintendo merch.

If you really can't get it, then as a back-up, you could get him any special/nice mario toy, and then write a note saying that in 2031 there is a universal studios opening in the U.K. - which houses (in Japan and America) the Nintendo theme areas/theme parks.. so when he is "X" age, he will absolutely be able to go himself.

As for getting your hands on exclusive merch from foreign theme parks without paying a lot of extra money. The only Idea I have is finding a community of people into that hobby (so probably not mumsnet), and putting your sons case up to see if anyone is kind enough to buy one when they visit. E.g. if a post went viral on Reddit with this type of story, there is a chance a person who has a trip planned will help out. But getting that done, posted and arrived by Christmas would be hard, if possible at at all.

If you join the FB group Orlando tops for Brits there are services that will purchase and send merch from the parks. I've seen it mostly advertised for Disney but it's definitely worth checking out for to see if they do universal too l.

That sounds like a good option thank you. I think I've joined the right group, will try and search and see if I can find one of these services maybe.

@gato21 I'd seen that online shop but unfortunately it's not selling the plush toys he's asked for.
