Anyone bought a Tymo hair curler? Do they actually work?

Thinking of buying the Tymo Pro Plus hair curler for teenage DD. I’m seeing adverts for it everywhere but I’ve no idea how good it is and whether it actually works. Any feedback? Thanks

not the same brand but I have the same style of curler and yes it works for me (mid length very fine hair)

Thanks. I seem to see adverts for this constantly and it does look good but I don’t want but something that will just sit on her dresser never being used as it’s a bit rubbish.
Can I ask which brand you use?

I have the Tymo one and yes it’s very good for what it is, however I find the curls are very uniform/samey.

I've got the Tymo, it's really good for my thick hair and it's just so quick. I find the curls stay in a good while too.

Mine was just a cheapy from Amazon, order history says its 'glamoriser' and they dont seem to sell it now but they all look the same.

Mine has fully variable temp not just 3 settings, and also winds both ways which I assume they all do but is worth checking if going for a cheap one because it would be really awkward to do yourself without that

Agree with pp curls are a bit samey, but I vary the angle and amount of hair on each curl and I can never manage to get curls properly with my straighteners despite lessons from my hairdresser, so it works for me.

What products are people putting in their hair to make the curls stay? My curls just fell out really quickly!

I fell for it after being bombarded by instagram adverts, I was pretty sceptical but I actually really like it. I'm usually rubbish at curling my hair but found this works well, its so much quicker and easier than a regular curler.

My hair is thick and does tend to hold styles well, the curls last a while on my hair. I use heat protectant then once curled put some hairspray on, then brush through with my fingers once the curls are cool as I prefer a looser curl.

I ordered one 2 weeks ago because it seemed a good price. Following it's tracking, it appears to have got on a plane at Hong Kong which doesn't seem to have arrived anywhere. Realistically it's probably in a container ship on thr seven seas. I feel quite guilty as it was an impulse trigger finger - should have bought one from a warehouse in Ashford 🤔

I'm being spammed by Tymo adverts at the moment. I'm tempted but indecision on getting the standard one or paying extra for the longer "pro" model is making me pause. My hair is just below my shoulders but I have a lot of it.

The pro model seems so much more expensive than the standard one.

A boring update....it's arrived at a warehouse in Belgium - much better travelled than me.

GHD Curly Ever After - I use about 4-6 sprays for the whole head and my fine hair holds the curl for a couple of days, but when I first got it I did a spray per curl and that held far too well - I looked like a victorian child with ringlets for days 😆 Somewhere in the middle it should work for you!

Well, my Tymu Pro has just arrived and I couldn't wait to use it. The instructions are clear, I'm always a bit cackhanded doing things like this but didn't take long to get to grips. You can curl in different directions - so did this when I changed sides - and I've learnt the wider the piece of hair, the less pigs-tail result. I loved playing with it, hair didn't seem to get warm so no damage (I used the middle setting) and someone suggested giving hair a little twist before inserting and that made it easier. Happy with the results (the odd pigs-tail notwithstanding!) and will have a proper go tomorrow.
