I love a bit of craft, especially if you don't need lots of expensive stuff. I have an autistic teen and they like to join me for a Christmas film and a bit of crafts so its a way to get them out of their room as well.

I've tried the paper stars here: https://awonderfulthought.com/how-to-make-paper-stars/

I always make these woven heart baskets as well. They are very nostalgic for me.

I would love other suggestions.

We are planning to paint advent candles, make crackers, make air dried clay place name tags for the Christmas dinner table, make air dried clay flower frogs. We'll probably also do paper chains at some point.

Dd makes felt decorations for the tree. Last year she made stars, she embroidered the felt added sequins, stuffed them and added a ribbon to hang. She has previously made birds and this year it's Christmas puddings with holly and using buttons for the berries. She likes to hand sew but you could whizz round them with a sewing machine if you wanted.

Gingerbread houses (or just men!)

Find a great recipe, plan out the structure of a house, bake create panels, then spend ages decorating (including adding in windows)

its a multi day thing - really nice though. Lots of inspiration on Instagram
