What are you asking for for Christmas this year?

What are you buying for your partner?

I’m having a new dressing gown. I was going to have some perfume but I can’t decide on one. Dh wants to get me an Apple Watch but I’m not sure.

We’re buying a joint gift for ourselves this year, a Bartesian cocktail machine.

Oh, "what are you having for Christmas"? I thought this was a post about what are you making for dinner (if you're not cooking for a group...)

DH passed away, and I will have no present. Could treat myself, don't want to. I will buy food and toys and bedding for our local animal shelter though.

music festival tickets and roping grandparents in to have the kids so we can have a nice weekend partying on our own

DH & me are going to a hotel for 4 nights over Christmas. As it's going to cost about £1400 that is our present to each other. I have also bought him a nice antique silver photo frame (bought at an auction before we decided to go away) for a photo of his mother taken in 1944.

@StruggleFlourish sending hugs 🕊️💐❤️

We're getting a new big le Creuset as a joint present. Got our last one 24 years ago. Dh also getting a Barbour jumper he wants and a Sezane Cardigan for me. We will buy stocking presents for each other too. Probably fewer gifts than usual this year as gets harder to think of anything we need every year.

Oh my gosh @StruggleFlourishi just read your post. I am so sorry. Sending a hug.

Sorry to hear of your bereavement. Definitely treat yourself to something. The animal shelter will appreciate anything that you can give them. I hope that your Christmas is OK for you. 😘

I feel that it's presumptuous to ask for particular gifts, and that the value of anything received is in the thought and effort expended by the giver. I don't care how little something costs in financial terms.
