I’m looking for a nice present for a 9 year old girl. Budget is up to about £25.

Any ideas thank you.

Have you looked at Wicked Uncle? You can search by girl/boy/ages, from babies to early teens.

Lego set.

What are their interests, likes/dislikes if you know? As otherwise you have to aim fairly generic, as some girls might love a slime making kit while others hate sticky mess and crafting with a vengeance, some may really enjoy glittery stationary while others would deem that babyish.

Looking at some Black Friday deals for inspiration - so long as I was pretty sure they didn't hate board games, I might go for a classic board game or two. There are things like Monopoly, Cluedo, Carcassonne, Catan, Life, Ticket to Ride. The kid may not be the most absolute thrilled when they open it but if their family or friends are willing to give it a go, games can bring hours of rewarding time with others and it can open up a new family hobby of board game time together.

My dn is 9 recently received gifts: charm for nomination bracelet, Vera wang princess perfume, science kit, mini verse, Lego, Wicked and Squishmellow themed stuff.

Sorry I really should have said. I don’t know her that well.

She’s my niece but they don’t live nearby. I could ask her parents but they always say she doesn’t need anything and I want to get her a token gift.

Last time I saw her she was playing with her stationery but know from my boys they change their interests very quickly.

A Jellycat?

TwoMintsLoose · 21/11/2025 17:29

Legami stationary (especially erasable pens and I think their bear colouring pencils are desirable too based off my children) and a pretty notebook?

TwoMintsLoose · 21/11/2025 17:29

Or Smiggle. I think 9 year olds like both though Legami is probably cooler. A Smiggle set with pop out pencil case is probably the most desirable Smiggle item!

A Jellycat for sure! Something cute. I got the snowflake from here https://www.utilitygift.co.uk/brands/jellycat?product_list_order=created_at and it's lovely.
