Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

DP has a steam deck. Its portable and can be plugged into a TV and used like a normal console. Games on Steam tend to be a lot cheaper than Xobx and PlayStation games and they often have good sales on. I don't know how the steam deck compares to a standard Xbox but he tells me its got better specs than the equivalent portable Xbox device.

It was 30% last year, but it does sell fast!

Steam decks aren't sold many places in the UK and bargains are few and far between! Valve sometimes do offers on refurbished ones, or they're available full price through the valve website. If you have a CEX with stock nearby it would be worth checking it out in person, I've not been impressed when I've had electronics delivered from CEX as I think they choose the worst ones to send to keep the good ones on display. When I thought about buying one it seemed to me that it was worth paying for the OLED screen.

I ordered the hotel chocolat wreath from Amazon on subscribe and save, but was charged £35 instead of £31. I had to push a bit but customer service refunded me the difference. Check what you were charged if you went for that option!

I use the petite sizes for a full but natural look. Either single length 10mm or the petite packs. They’re super easy to put on and last about a week for me if I follow the instructions not to get them wet for the first 24hrs and give them a squeeze every morning. I get compliments all the time and it’s the only make up I wear, saves putting any mascara on. I just roll out of bed and go! If you’ve been getting extensions it’ll save you a fortune!!

Has anyone managed to get the anthropologie £20 to work whilst they have their site wide discount on?

I have an extremely geeky ASD 17 year old and according to him (I only half listen but do take in some of it 😁) the Steam deck is superior. It is actually a full pc, not just a games console so you can play non Steam games on it too plus use it as a pc and watch Netflix etc. As WhyDoesItAlways said it can be played handheld so it's portable and you can hook it up to the tv too. The games also are cheaper than other console games and they do special offers on games regularly.

Have a look in Lidl to supplement your hamper - they usually have a "Taste of.." section each week with stuff from various cuisines. Eg this week they have some gochujang paste which is used in Korean cooking I believe

Last year a load of us bought the super cheap Nespresso Vertuo Coffee machine. I stopped using mine when the free capsules ran out as they are so expensive! At the time I seem to remember someone linked a reusable pod? I can't remember details and can't find anything close, does anyone have one and can recommend or even confirm I didn't imagine it...

@Serenitesanta no idea about a Steam Deck but you do be looking at either an XBox series X or series S.
Series X much better in terms of processing speed and storage, and can get one that takes disks if this is a consideration. But it so be about £470 new. The S series is around £200 but digital download games only.

I've opened a new account to get the £10 off a £40 spend, and it stacked with the 30% off items and also sale items.

@imnottoofussedit showed as £31 and then I was charged £35, I got them to give ne back £5. They said they don’t price match and I pointed out it wasn’t a price match, it was an error.
