Hello folks and welcome to the ongoing Christmas Bargain threads, which are hosted annually by the Amazing Reastie. I'm just caretaking for now.

This post is a work in progress, and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add, then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas, and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links, please.

Please post any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of MN filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

Riddle answer is " Cotton candy " for the £1 toothbrush. Some other offers too.

(I ordered Thursday night and it arrived today so quick postage too!)

Its charging me £11 postage.... do you know if theres any way around that? Thanks!

FurForksSake · 23/11/2025 22:07

I paid £7.99 postage, are you Highlands and Islands or something?

Whatthecluckingcluck · 23/11/2025 22:08

Not a bargain for this year, but I don’t know how many of you are aware of something called WeWard.
Essentially you earn coins for how much you move each day.
It was designed by one of the Williams sisters. And you can convert your steps into cash and some vouchers.
I’ve been doing 10,000 steps every day and by saving them on my app, since mid-June I’ve earned £12. Okay it isn’t massive but by just walking and remembering to check out my steps every day, it’s worth it.
I’m sure people in a more mobile job would earn more.
I’ll add my referral link to the referral page in case anyone is interested and hopefully it helps someone in the future to save a little extra towards Christmas, without doing much! Xx

Thanks for the cracker suggestions! You have given me inspiration. No Waitrose nearby but I’ll try the Range and B&M.

Lidl had loads of crackers - I didn’t catch the price though. I’m sure they also had monopoly and other game ones too

Have you got lots in your basket? I've ordered twice...once it charged me £5.99, once it charged it £7.99 when I had more items.

FurForksSake · 23/11/2025 22:14

I think they will, it’s been in for the last few days and we’re still five days out from bf.

Thanks, trying to get some as stocking fillers for the three DC. Hoping they’ll be a bit better than the oral b ones I got them last year - they aren’t great and no charging light to know when they are getting low charge or fully charged

Aw I'm sorry 😔 It's been on for at least the last 4x nights so hopefully.... assume it's a Black Friday thing but couldn't find anything in the T&C's about when it will end.

gingerbreadmumm · 23/11/2025 22:19

Can anyone recommend anything on Haul (or elsewhere though I’ve been send some code for haul) , that is decent quality, not too expensive (like £2) that I could get for my DD school friends as little gifts. It’s a Sen school and she wants to get things for 11 kids x maybe a little stuffed animal or a Christmas decoration maybe? Just want something that seems decent xx

I wget all my herbs / spices etc from the Spicery. I’m also fully addicted their ‘legend’ cookbook kits 😂

Do you know if they do black Friday offers? I meant to buy one on October or September (?) when they did the last round of offers but then totally forgot

Not heard of this but happy to give it a go - can't see your referral code at all, though! Could you msg me with it, please - I don't get on here often and this thread will move on before I see a reply!

They don’t usually - they always do ‘legend month’ offers in October instead I think

Signing up to pooch and mutt reward scheme gives you 100 points just for signing up then clicking through to their insta and Facebook page from the loyalty page gives you an extra 60 points so 160 in total just for signing up.

I added a wet food pouch to get the two free gifts, then used my £1.60 worth of points at checkout stage. Somehow it also gave me free delivery too (saving a further £1.99). So managed to get these three items for 39p delivered! Will put them in the puglets stockings for Xmas 🎅

I don’t know what their soft toys would be like safety wise. If you put Christmas decoration in the search bar they have lovely flat ones for less than £1 - you can’t search low to high price but can put a less than price in.

They also have those little crochet animals with sayings on them.

I just spotted in your photo that you are a plus member so I'm presuming you have got earlier access than standard members which is what I am. Must start tomorrow for standard members.

Still need to buy for 15 yr old niece, budget £10-15. I have no idea what 15 year old girls would want this year, any help/suggestions very welcome, please.

Not a gift but still a bargain > If you subscribe to Paramount+, I received an email offering 50% off for an annual plan (£35.49) which is £2.95 a month, much better than the £7.99 a month we've been paying! You have to click through the email, the offer wasn't showing when I logged into my account.

Is cash out of the question? It’s always gratefully received by teens here. For a tenner some soft fluffy socks and fancy hot chocolate / cute keyring (anthropologie jellycat coffee cup with the voucher?) / lip balm or oil / book nook might work? There’s a thread for teenage girls but lots a bit pricier! https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5427045-teenage-girls-must-have-items-this-year?

Teenage girls: must-have items this year? | Mumsnet

Every year the Christmas lists of many of the teenage girls (my own included) have quite often very similar must-have trending items. So what are they...

Thanks for this! I tried it with a different combo and it didn’t work so did the same order for you and it kicked in

Superdrug has the hismile toothpastes half price at the moment £4.49 each, if anyone doesn’t want to get the brush or pay the hismile postage

Sleeposaurus · 23/11/2025 23:10

@gingerbreadmum I got loads of cook shapes paper clips (bunnies, hearts and penguins), little foldable mini note cards, scratch off black lollies where it is rainbow underneath, tiny notebooks and pinbadges all of which were lovely. Not sure if any of that is useful to make a wee bundle.

@forforksake I did ask I think for a real person, but you are right the answers seem overly chirpy and unhelpful so maybe it was all a bot. Will try again if I don't hear back.

In Scotland (not sure about elsewhere) the discount doesn’t apply to alcohol or gift cards unfortunately.

There is quite a long list of exclusions in the ts&cs but most general shop items are included Terms and conditions - Clubcard - Tesco.com - Tesco Groceries
It's very rare for my discount not to equal 10% of my shop - and it's very easy to check if you scan as you shop.
I thought that the alcohol discount was only excluded if it brought the price below the minimum unit price. I'm not sure how much that is but it doesn't look as though you get the 25% on six bottles of wine either.
