Just turned 15 year old will be getting a new (to him think it's refurbished) iphone 14 (don't think it's a pro) - H has sorted all this out I know nothing, both the teens are getting one as they have had the cheapest androids since getting phones.

That's their main present (obviously)

Avie29 · 17/11/2025 13:48

My 13yo DS is getting mountain bike (main)
a finger skate board park,
roller blades,
new helmet/knee pads etc,
a chain necklace
aftershave/deodorant set,
smart watch
set of miniature anime characters swords
gaming headset
and couple other bits n bobs- bath bombs, razor etc xx

Would be interested to know what music player you've gone for, please? Looking for a simple old-fashioned (hah) MP3 player for my 12-yr old.

We are looking at this one - can’t figure out how to post a link but you can copy this into Amazon: 128GB MP3 Player with Bluetooth 5.4, ZAQE 2.4" Full Touch Screen Portable Music Player, Lossless Sound Digital Audio Player Built-in HD Speaker, FM Radio, Player Case Earphones Included

12yo main gifts are Gorillaz t shirt and tickets to go with his dad (he is a fan, dad less so) and a fairly costly fiddly climbing training toy that he has been eyeing up.
his stocking gifts include Christmas jibbitz for crocs as we will be away in sunshine and a tiny motion sensitive fart machine. Can no longer find the tubes of buttons and boycott nestle/rowntree but something sweet and Christmassy- maybe haribo.
we do 1st December boxes here so I’ll check if he needs new jumper/pjs etc.. Most stuff
is brought out year after year tbh. I’ve got a new pair of canteburys for him and a festive thermal for my eldest.
He and his big sister gave up on Lego advent calendars a few years ago and have done lots of alternative ones (jewellery, rubber ducks, M&S skincare, raspberry pi etc..) but this year I have bought a bonne maman jam one for them to share.
it is definitely tougher to get it right as they age.

MiddleAgedDread · 17/11/2025 17:28

ooh a voucher for the indoor snow dome is a good idea for the DN's, they're pretty dare devilish but I don't think they've ever been on skis

Cricket pads
cricket gloves
IOU for cricket spikes (if bought now they’re bound to be too small come late spring)
books, mainly popular history
weighted blanket
Switch game (DH is in charge there, I have not a clue)

His stocking is a nightmare as he eats neither sweets nor chocolate (I question sometimes how he’s mine based on this) but will include Beano annual, Xmas socks, sleep spray and whatever bright ideas I have very soon (he was unimpressed by the suggestion that he might like cologne or body spray). So thank you for the thread, OP!

what about something like pringles or popcorn instead of sweets and chocolate?

Baboutheocelot · 17/11/2025 17:40

Golf lesson
bubble tea
hoodie&joggers set
aftershave

Treeforme · 18/11/2025 19:56

Thankyou everyone

My son is 12 some things I got him:

Funko pops
Manga book box sets
2 x ps4 games
Nerf set
Tanjiro costume and foam swords
Stranger things hoodies
Chocolate goodies
Lynx set

Missingpate · 19/11/2025 19:30

13yo DS has asked for a pull up bar for his bedroom, ear buds, and a gaming headset with microphone. Also getting him books and sweets /
chocolate. Got him a big bag of pretzels last year that went down well. He wants Toblerone. Good shout someone said earlier with ski goggles, think he needs some of those.

Otherwise totally stuck. Think it’s plenty from us but never know what to tell family to get for him.

Fasterthan40 · 19/11/2025 19:52

Getting 16yo a mini Kodak printer. And my parents a 4x6” one. Wonder if some boys might like too? On offer at Amazon atm

Laf90 · 19/11/2025 20:10

My 13 year old is having
A churros maker
Slush puppie set

He's just had his birthday this week and had a gaming monitor. He already has a ps5, phone, aftershave, bike. Very difficult

welshgirl666 · 19/11/2025 20:13

My 14ds is having golf clubs, tees and golf balls, aftershave, electric toothbrush, a football and grip socks, an oodie style jumper from ohs (much cheaper!! 🙂), new bedding, lynx set and then sweets, Choc, socks etc and some funny cheap gifts like funny loo roll, toilet golf set, etc.

Mine is a few weeks shy of 12 and I’m REALLY struggling this year. Have only bought stocking fillers so far.

Ideas currently under consideration:

A dance mat
one of those light up boxing pads that syncs with Bluetooth so you box in time to the music.
Funko pops
Sensory vibrating cushion

but I’m not massively confident in any of these ideas. DS is autistic annd massively specific in his likes or dislikes. The past few years have been easy as he’s given me a long list of desirable model planes or trains. We seem to have exhausted the list now. We’ve also pretty much cleared out the London Transport Museum shop over a 10 year period…

The science museum had some quite good things - I bought DS a robot thing he has to construct himself and a terrarium set. I think I signed in but didn’t check out and a day or two later they sent a discount code through too x

drspouse · 20/11/2025 22:26

Mine will be 14 in Jan but he has SEN so some of his preferences are a bit young.
He's not actually asked for anything except to go to a water park for his birthday.
He's getting
Half day zoo experience.
Probably a soft toy as a tip off for that.
Lots of red and black felt tip pens because he likes doing those drawings on YouTube. I found out you can buy whole packets of one colour and those are always running out first.
Ripley is a good idea! He also likes Deadly 60 and I think that has books too.
Maybe some Top Trumps as he likes them.
Traditional pants, socks and a chocolate orange. (And a onesie and Christmas bedding)

NConthe · 21/11/2025 08:18

FurForksSake · 16/11/2025 17:26

Meta quest 3
hot chocolate maker
comic book about ramen
north face hoodie and T-shirt

plus a stocking.

he’s asked for board games from the grandparents (exploding kittens)

Exploding kittens is a card game not a board game but I’d recommend getting at least one expansion pack too at that age

FurForksSake · 21/11/2025 11:52

@NConthe it’s also now a board game! Promise! 😊

I got DD the hotel chocolat Velvetiser a few years ago – I thought it was pricey but I don’t regret it because she uses it so often!

Same here - got it for DS14 last Christmas and it gets used pretty much every day. (We found a reconditioned one on ebay which was brand new but not boxed and a lot cheaper)

Treeforme · 22/11/2025 19:40

The hot chocolate
maker sounds good

Scraped presents 3 years ago other than the stocking from Santa. Going to Blackpool together. 2 nights in a hotel (with pool), money for arcades, meals out etc,

Oohh · 16/11/2025 21:58

Mine did the super car experience in the summer and loved it- it was really good

Which one did you get please? Thanks!

CharlotteCChapel · 23/11/2025 13:03

My grandsons, both in that age range are into warhammer so we'll get them something for that.
