Last year, the wow present for my parents with a tour of Highgrove and an afternoon tea, an idea mentioned by another MNer. They loved both the tour and the afternoon tea (although, apparently, there was a bit too much food). I was delighted to find out that this existed as, in recent years, presents had included tickets for Hampton Court Flower Show and Chelsea Flower Show which they had enjoyed.
Any other similar experience ideas? Not restaurants (as that is their standard & much appreciated present for their birthdays) or theatre/other shows.
If anyone else is inspired by this to get Highgrove tickets as a present, then I would recommend but also make sure the recipient is ready to book the moment tickets go live. I think organised groups (coach tours and so forth) get first pick of the tickets so there were only a few dates my parents could pick from.
