Christmas List App Suggestions?

For the last few years I’ve had an Android phone and I’ve used a brilliant app called ‘Gift List’ (red present with gold bow).

Now I’m using an iPhone and struggling to find something similar that works well. I’ve got another also called ‘Gift List’ which is a red present with white bow but it automatically organises it alphabetically which I don’t like. I prefer age order in family groups. I could pay for it but would prefer not to.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Glad it’s helped someone 😊

I’m persevering with the one I’ve got & my just pay to get the extra features. It’s really helped me in the past to keep track of shopping / spending.

I also have this and love the additional feature of being able to mark something as a stocking present this year.

May I ask what does it actually give you that a spreadsheet doesn’t? I use spreadsheets to manage all the lists and track the spending, I’ve tracked expenditure in this way forever with subsheets or separate spreadsheets for types of lists. I can also share them with others and produce the same kind of expense by person/type or pie charts I’m seeing in the app descriptions.

What does a paid app offer over and above this, especially considering the value of the data to the provider?

I used gift list last year and I want to keep those lists and create new ones for this year but it looks as if I can’t do that

I use the free version of gift list and love it, so good for organising. I add gift ideas during the year as I think of them, then just tick off once I've bought and wrapped each gift. It lets me keep track of my spending as well.

The order of people annoyed me as well, so I allocated everyone a letter to put them in the order I wanted them -
a. Husband
b. Child 1
c. Child 2
d. Etc.

That sorted it!

You can “print” your existing list to pdf before clearing it and starting again. Not perfect but pretty good.

You can also Archive it.

I have just paid the £2.99 to get me through the season. I’ll cancel auto renewal but think £2.99 seemed decent tbf.
