Weirdest Christmas stocking item?

I’m sure I’ve scandalously shared my stocking fillers with you all before. So, my 10 year old will be getting a chicken fray bentos pie in his stocking this year. I have no idea how he will react, he is going to think Santa has lost the plot, and dear reader, she has.

I love that, what a memory, something pretty but impactful.

For the last 5 years dd13, had asked for chopsticks. We bought her some decent ones last year and she hasn’t asked for them this year.
we got ds17 franks hot sauce last year, he absolutely loved it… has it on literally most meals. We got him another one this year 😂

My eldest complained that when we were on a holiday in a log cabin there were no chopsticks for his noodles. We have some quite nice ones but perhaps I could find some very nice or random ones…

blutack
a jar of spread, like biscoff or marshmallow fluff or marmite PB
individual cereal boxes
random food and drink from the world food aisle
Aldi or Lidl’s branded socks or pants
pizza cutter

@IridescentShadow brilliant! I’d love to have a cheese in my stocking!

My DC and my DH ask for cheese and chutney in their stockings. Totally normal here.

They've got a 'festive' one out this year. I've squirrelled one away for DH 😂

A festive fray bentos?!

I'd love one of those personalised tea spoons for myself.

I put all kinds of everything in DCs stocking but always include basics as well - they'll get a new toothbrush, socks and jocks, bath sets, hair/skin masks etc.

One year DC wanted to do a stocking for me and following my trend of some nice items and some essentials, my stocking had a bottle of mouthwash in it.

This thread is so inspiring!! You gave me an idea of getting my DD10 Tiptree tomato chutney as she mentioned she'd love to try it

FurForksSake · 07/11/2025 09:56

Yes! Get the chutney!

and lol at the mouthwash!!!

Our three do eachothers stockings, the first year DS2 (probably 10 at the time) was adamant that DS1 needed a jar of gherkins because "when we go to McDonalds he gets everyone's pickles" 😂 To be fair 1 thought it was hilarious and I think there's been at least one pickle-themed item in his stocking every year since!

Rape alarms.
my twin sister and I had just started going out clubbing and my dad was worried and so protective of us ❤️
Seemed weird at the time but looking back it’s sweet to know how much her cared for us 🥰

My OH and I do Xmas stockings for each other and it’s my favourite part of Christmas - we aim for mostly silly, or ridiculous things - I usually include something Ainsley Harriet related in his as we have a long-standing joke about ‘giving the meat a good rub’.

Everyone’s stocking has a small pack of vitamin D tablets and some toothpaste this year. Other things too - I’m not a monster - but stockings in our house are always designed to have at least a couple of random necessities. DD has a tape measure and DS has a pack of screen wipes.

FurForksSake · 24/12/2025 10:02

Brilliant and definitely not a monster!
