Are PS5s likely to be reduced on Black Friday?

DS2 would like a PS5 as a joint birthday and Christmas present. The best price I can currently see for the slim digital version (?) is £418.

Is it likely that they'll come down in price on/around Black Friday?

My 2 DS are also hoping for a PS5. I was in Curry’s yesterday & they said the Black Friday deals will be good, much better than on the shelf price now. But couldn’t say what it would be.

having bought a number of playstations over the years (PS3, PS4 and PS5 - for OH and DS) i’ve found that shops haven’t reduced the price significantly, but have created bundles eg PS with two controllers or adding a free game. it can be worth it if thr bundle comes with a game they want. the new call of duty comes out mid November, so i’m sure there may be a bundle with that.

a second controller is also worth it, i’d playing with a friend.

My OH says to avoid the digital version as you can always sell a hard copy of a game, but you can’t do that with the digital version.

I too would avoid digital and get disc version. Always good bundle deals. I would wait

The games he likes are all quite niche, so I don't think would be included in a bundle deal - I'll keep an eye out though!

Oh - the reason we're looking at the digital version is because he's set up his own profile and bought games on his cousin's (digital) PS5 which we are borrowing while cousin is abroad. So he wants to be able to re-doenload these games on his own console (which I assume is possible??)

Assuming you have enough capacity on credit card / cash flow you could buy at the current price on Amazon returnable until Jan 31st now so you def have it and if there is a better deal on Black Friday buy again and return the first one

We just want the digital version and it is reduced in most places (Argos, Amazon etc) to £289.99 today with free fifa game (or whatever the new fifa is called). 3% cashback on topcashback for Argos. So we have ordered it. I think they are likely to sell out so don't ponder too long...

You can still download any downloaded games onto the disk version of ps5.
Also if you get a bundle and he doesn't want the game offered you can sell them or trade for games he does.

Also looking for deals, but DH says we must get the disk version!

I bought the disc one today from Very for £379. I didn't like at the price of the digital but they were both reduced

I was just on smyths website looking at Nintendo games and they have PS5 on offer. Same prices as Argos.

If you have/know someone with a Costco card, they're £314 for the slim disc or £239 for the digital one in-store.
