Help me find a Christmas tree

Please 🙏

We’ve moved house. Our tree is a narrow tree, bought to fit nicely in the corner of our old lounge. Now we have a big bay window so would like something much fuller.

I love the flocked ones but have read about the mess and being bad for animals/environmentally (I realise no plastic tree is overly environmentally friendly!)

Pre lit sounds great but a lot of reviews about the lights stopping working.

I’m thinking 7ft and not much over the £100 mark. This is the one I like at the moment -

6ft Green Nordic Fir Pre Lit Christmas Tree | Christmas | George at ASDA

Characterised by its full shape and classic aesthetic, this Nordic Fir Christmas tree will make a dazzling festive focal point in your home this year thanks ...

Do you know you can do a shopping search on Google and filter by price? There’s a whole list of options but it depends what it is that you really like about the tree you linked to - is it the shape, density, the slightly teal tinge to the greenery, the amount of dusting it has etc?

My present tree is pre-lit but the lights stopped working in the second year. Very irritating! I just stick strings of lights in it now but NGL, it is mega annoying as the wires cross about and get in the way - the redundant ones, not my additions. Every year I get a bit cross and want the old useless system stripped out. If I was going to buy a new tree I'd choose one that isn't pre-lit. It sounded like a good idea at the time but it means that if they do continue working you won't really change the look, it is what it is. If you get one that isn't pre-lit, you can vary the lights you put on it each year and get different styles (if you have many multiples of fairy light strings in a variety of colours/shades, I can't be alone in that Grin )
