They are late 30s/early 40s.

She likes sweet things, going to the gym, her cat, working. He likes cars and eating (not really a sweet tooth).

They go away for the weekend a lot both abroad and in UK. Both like wine.

Really struggling! What are you buying your brother in laws 😂

Your DH should be responsible for choosing and buying gifts for his family. I only buy for my family, not my in laws.

This isn’t really a very helpful comment. I always did presents for DHs family but there comes a point where you should agree not to be exchanging presents with adults. If you feel you still have to do this, then why not some sort of food hamper with a bottle of wine in it or a voucher for one of their local restaurants?

If they like wine why not find an independent wine merchant and pop in. Have a chat. You can get some fairly affordable but different bottles nowadays.

I bought my bil a Macedonian wine a couple of years ago. He still talks about how heavy the actual bottle was! Weve bought Romanian wine, Greek wine and english wine. Never more than £30 a bottle. Always one white and one red. Its become a tradition!

What is your budget?

Membership of the wine society is £40, we’ve never had a bad bottle of wine from there.

this book looks interesting for planning weekends away.
