Teen girls beyond clothes & makeup

What are you getting your teen girls that isn’t fashion or make‑up?

Would love some ideas for both presents and stocking fillers. We appreciate a bit of skincare or a nice pair of trainers just as much as the next person but this year we’d like the gifts not to centre around fashion or beauty.

They get Christmas money from grandparents, which they’re welcome to use for any clothes shopping, so we’re looking for something a bit different. Ages are 13&16.

I guess it depends what they are into.
My teen loves music and art, so there’s plenty of related memorabilia that she loves or art supplies.
Younger one is much trickier as she isn’t into that stuff. But things like headphones, decorative items for bedroom, edibles always go down well. Games we can play as a family also seem to do well. This year she has asked for a hamper with sweets and socks 😂

WhyOhWhyEightyTwo · 30/10/2025 15:50

I’ve just ordered my 16 year old SD the Bridget Jones books because she watched the films and loved them.

Moonlightfrog · 30/10/2025 16:08

Dd is getting…
ipad (as hers is so old it will no longer do updates)
Annual pass to a local attraction
small Lego set
Art supplies
Hoodie

It sounds a lot but the iPad is very much needed and the annual pass will save me money during the year.

She will get a sticking full of little things, probably half food, fidget toys, plus a few old dance CD’s from the charity shop.

My daughter is 16 and I'll be getting her:
Books
Lego
Overear headphones
Tymo curler
HP Squishmallow
Eugy animals
Wire Jewellery Making Kit
A huge Marvel poster for her room

She got a zoo keeper experience for her birthday, she's loved meerkats for forever, so she's doing that.

loubielou31 · 30/10/2025 23:48

Lego, love Lego.
Books
CDs, I know that's quite retro but popular with mine
A really nice dressing gown (thinking towards going off to uni)
A waffle maker was popular
A dualit milk heater thing for hot chocolate (i was sceptical but it lives out in the kitchen and gets used by us for coffees as well as chocolate, it's brilliant)
Pimple patches (am excellent stocking filler type present)
Really nice water bottle or insulated cup

Kickinthenostalgia · 30/10/2025 23:57

DD just started uni, they will not wear a dressing gown.

She has an en-suite room but just throws on a hoodie if she needs to go into the kitchen when she is still in pyjamas.

Some have an Oodie or similar.

And DD loves her dressing gown she has at home.

Ds has just finished uni, he was also very dismissive of a nice dressing gown when it was gifted but by year three had to admit it had been a useful item. It definitely got worn, (not necessarily by him 😱)
