Please help me work out this 1980s christmas school song!

Im at home with a broken arm and wayyyyy to much time on my hands and an earworm driving me mad! 🤣😭
I remember a song when I was at school in the 80s. We used to sing it in assembly at Christmas.
I've searched everywhere but cant find it.
The only thing I know is half a verse.
It goes "flying high flying low loop the loop and off we go. Da da dada dum dum dum we're bringing gifts for christmas day!"
Pleaaaaassseeee can anyone help?????

If it was sung in assembly do you think it was one of those songs that was 'adapted' for Christmas. I remember (half remember) some my kids sang during their Christmas plays (vaguely nativity style but less religious than when I did them at school) that took songs and adjusted the lyrics. I know that doesn't help. Sorry.

For what its worth the lyrics would fit into we three kings (star of wonder star of light bit).

Contact your old school, they might still be singing it now. There was a song from my Dd primary school, Dd left 16 years ago and they still sing it now!
