M&S combo mix in what every xmas flavour it is this year - pigs in blankets or maple bacon I think.

Do you like mini cheddars OP 😁

shellyleppard · 25/10/2025 11:24

Aldi do a really lovely orange and chestnut stuffing mix near Christmas. Don't forget the Cadbury roses and quality street ❤️

hotelheartbreak · 25/10/2025 11:28

You can get roses and quality street here - was going to ask for a box of strawberry and orange quality street from John Lewis
yes I love mini cheddars

Xmas pudding
brandy cream
Controversial and not very xmas'y
Marmite

Check what can be imported first it would be horrible if it got confiscated and they got a big fine

hotelheartbreak · 25/10/2025 11:38

Can someone remove me from the John Lewis Christmas Shop …. Not good after 3 wines

-Cadburys in Aus has a higher melting point. I've never compared the 2 side by side for flavour, but maybe some British cadbury chocs (anytype, I love cadburys)
-Lebkuchen biscuits. Not British though and you might find them in Aussie aldi stores. Coles used to sell Pfeffernusse biscuits which tasted similar, but weren't festive
-Peeled/cooked chesnuts if cooking brussel sprouts. I struggled to find chestnuts in Sydney at Christmas. I did find 1 deli that sold chestnut puree and whole chestnuts in a tin, but it was a French brand and incredibly expensive- compared to say £1.59 for a pack from UK Aldi.

Make sure they know that they need to declare ALL food items on their arrival card and have them in sealed packages.

They are seasoned at coming to OZ just never at Christmas- they bring one case full of food for us 🤣
