Are there people who would decorate my house for me, do you think?

Bit of context I am a single mum who really does not like Christmas but feel like I need to make the effort for the kids. I work full-time in a really stressful job and I just can't even bear the thought of getting the Christmas boxes out the loft and sorting through all the Christmas decorations and putting them up.

My amazing mother-in-law used to come around and whip me into action but unfortunately she died a couple of years ago and I haven't found the motivation to decorate the house properly since.

Do you think there are people that I could hire who would come round and decorate the house not to any kind of glamorous standard but just do it for me using my own decorations?

At a fairly reasonable price level? Or is this just a pipe dream and something only rich people can afford?

Do you have any neighbours with older teenagers? They might enjoy doing the decorating for a few.

I was about to say ‘of course!’ but I don’t know any so … I’d assume so!! I think of all the amazing creative people out there- the kind who decorate windows in shops/ gift wrap/ do display stands … but I can’t think how you find the right one!!!

Surely Taskrabbit has a plethora of people who will be delighted to do this for you?

My friend loves doing Christmas decorations, she'd do an amazing job, I'm sure similar people are around everywhere. Just need to decide what you are willing to pay. It's a great idea to outsource a job that's making you feel stressed, it will be lovely once it's done.

Let the kids get at it!

This would be my dream job! My self employment is seasonal (wedding industry, so I'm always quiet Oct to Dec. And I am fantastic at Christmas decorating! I would absolutely do this if you were in my city.
Maybe I should give this a go. Using other people's existing decorations is perfect since it's no outlay on my behalf. I wonder if there is sufficient demand

I'm in Manchester if anyone knows of anyone let me know.

My kids are all boys and have no interest in helping out at all sadly.

None of us are the slightest bit creative.

I would be tempted to ring a few cleaners - self employed individuals not companies. I reckon you could find someone that way.

My friend does this and already has a few houses booked in already. She’s based in north wales. Pm me if you want her details. She travels .
