Stocking up the Christmas cupboard!

A lot of us add bits and pieces to the 'Christmas cupboard' or in the weeks/months running up to Christmas.

Let's all share what we have stashed so far here, whether it is sweet or savoury, alcoholic or soft, store bought or home made.

Also feel free to share bargains of the Christmas classics (I can't believe how much Terry's chocolate oranges are this year!).

Most alcoholic wine is horrible, red being the worst and some prosecco style not bad if lacking a certain something.

Some beers are OK, especially if the very low alcohol, ie 0.5%, are OK for you, but obviously no good if you are looking to avoid alcohol completely. But almost certainly safe for pregnancy and drivers in reasonable moderation.

Found some Tiramisu Lindor in Tesco!

I've just started on my stash! I've been focusing on presents until now.

I picked up three big tubs of chocs (for us) and two smaller boxes of chocs as teacher gifts, some gingerbread biscuits and crackers for cheese so far.

Will think about drinks next. I usually get a bottle of Bailey's, but I'm using weight loss injections, so not sure if I'll want it this year.

I have put some alcohol in my online shopping basket but not hit “pay” yet… baileys, frangelico (for a relative), gin and port. I need to wait for payday tomorrow.

Anyone tried any nice new ( alcoholic) drink for Xmas ? We tried mince pie drink ( alcohol) from m and s one year and it was awful but fancy trying new options again

MinnieMountain · 19/11/2025 16:13

@BagpussWasRight Leffe alcohol free beer. Scott Free is the best I’ve had but you can only buy it in Edinburgh.

Have you tried Dishwasher Vodka ?

You don't need a DW for all of them, I did Skittle Vodka a few years back - I did one red/one purple .
There's tonnes of ideas for flavours if you do a search up .
