Stocking fillers for 15 year old boy

We’ve always done a stocking for the kids in their bedrooms before they go downstairs to the main event on Christmas morning - sweets, chocolate orange, some vaguely useful things like stationery or hair bobbles and some much coveted plastic tat (only time of year they get it!). They’ve both said now they’re teens that this is still their favourite bit of Christmas 😍 Both were adamant that this must continue until they leave home so the stocking tradition continues, but I’m struggling for 15 year old DS this year. There is still loads I can put in DD’s now she’s getting into beauty products and still loves cute stationery, but what about boys? I’ve got him a couple of bits of stationery and some toiletries, but any ideas for the silly/plastic tat elements?

Charging cable?
Socks
Something to eat
hand sanitizer

Have a look at the thread where someone wanted suggestions for her DHs stocking.

Justwrong68 · 19/10/2025 08:38

It depends what he’s into but I’m thinking: badges, neck chain or ring (H&M), wallet & chain, gift card, sweets, shaving stuff? There’s a shop called Menkind which could be useful.

WhatWouldTheDoctorDo · 19/10/2025 08:50

Keyboard putty
Joke book
airpod cleaning kit
yo-yo
rubiks cube (or one of many variants)
thumbs up lazy phone stand
pack of cards or card game

Tygertiger · 19/10/2025 08:55

Thanks all. There will definitely be sweets and toiletries, those are the easy things to find - it’s the little daft things that are harder. Eg DD is getting a pack of erasers shaped like macarons and some ice cream scented pens - I’m looking for the equivalent for him. Keyboard putty and AirPod cleaner is a good shout! I’ll have a look at Menkind, thanks for the recommmendation.

Hair products (gel/hair powder/sea salt spray)
Aftershave balm
Men’s grooming kit
Novelty mug
Highlighters
Sports socks
Fitness dice
Hot sauce
Crimpet

We have a love of Christmas Stockings in our household, it’s probably the gifts I enjoy putting together the most. We limit plastic tat, but I remember it fondly, and if I see the right thing for the right person, it still makes it in.

Flying Tiger and Rex London have some “fun” bits and pieces.

Present Indictive, higher price point but fun non plastic interesting gifts, for a good stocking.

MerylSqueak · 19/10/2025 17:24

A screaming goat ( see pic)
Wallet
Leather bracelet
Mike and Ikes sweets
Kinder egg for old times sake
power bank
Cheap headphones he likes but always breaks
A mug
Guitar picks
Harmonica
DVD of favourite film

Have a look at Smiggle. I know it looks just like over priced lunch boxes for young kids, but there’s a massive sale on at the moment and they have lots of eraser packs and equivalent for stocking filler prices.

SummerLightning · 19/10/2025 17:27

Some kind of protein powder or bars if mine is anything to go by
Silly things for room, eg fake or real tiny cactus / succulent
Underwear socks T-shirt if not too big

LancashireButterPie · 19/10/2025 17:32

Stroppy waffles
Special edition Marmite
Sheet music (if he plays music)
Head torch
Jewellery
Nice pen
Fluorescent highlights
Nightlight that clips to the bed
Deck of cards (magic the gathering, Pokémon)
Footie club hat
Gloves
Sliders

LancashireButterPie · 19/10/2025 17:33

Also Greggs voucher
Coffee cup

frecklejuice · 19/10/2025 17:37

My Ds is just 17 but last year he got socks, boxers, chocolate, sweets, he always loves some type of ball which he then throws repeatedly at his bedroom wall 🤯! Not sure how chilled you are about swearing but Amazon do a bullshit button which was quite funny and also a little book called “how to swear around the world”. He got a grow your own girlfriend and another year a grow your own Jesus! Portable charger?

Justhereforthechristmasthreads · 19/10/2025 17:39

@Tygertiger What about one of these "World's Smallest" range - they have got Jenga, Operation, Connect 4 etc. Bit of silly fun?

I used to get DSs at that age things like:

Nice socks and boxers, sports socks
Wristbands
Male toiletries like clay facemasks, mini colognes, new hairbrush or comb, face balm for aftershaving
Guitar picks, capo, tuner, those finger things for the guitarist
Sheet music, composition books for the pianist
Masculine scented candles like the Muji woodsmoke one
Sports towels
Fidget toys
Graphic novel or manga comic
Disgusting bright blue sports drinks or high energy drinks they were not usually allowed
Pop tarts (also only allowed once a year)
Gloves you can use your phone with

Pandorea · 19/10/2025 22:10

I have 3 teenage boys and they all like Nanoblock toys in their stockings. I’ve also done hair gel type things and face masks, chili sauce, milk frothers, snacks from Korean supermarket, pop tarts, American sweets etc

applesss · 19/10/2025 22:29

Oh yes hair gel and hair wax were always popular at that age.

Mydadsbirthday · 19/10/2025 23:27

This is my specialist subject, my teens love the stockings I carefully put together for them, it's their favourite gift(s)! I always get them stuff tailored to their personality and interests.

Stuff I have put in DS stocking last couple of years
Some coasters shaped like vinyl records
Light up guitar picks
A crimpit
Some glue sticks shaped like Pringles
A lego snowman
A shower gel by a brand called Man Cave
After 8 chocs shaped like London monuments
Novelty socks eg. With pizzas on them
A glass made out of an upside down Coke bottle (found in Covent Garden)

This year so far I have got him a little light bulb that you pull to switch on, and a marshmallow toasting fork (suggested by someone on here!)

I shall enjoy reading this thread properly when I have some time, for some other ideas!

Mydadsbirthday · 19/10/2025 23:30

Oh yes one year I got him a set of cards which all had Shakespearean insults on them. He found that quite funny but I think they were more for me 😂

Flatandhappy · 19/10/2025 23:33

I still do a stocking for 25yo DS 😂 Best hit last year were those balls you put in stinky trainers that deodorise them. Cinema voucher also went down well but it’s a bit $ for a stocking present unless it’s just for one movie.
