@DressOrSkirtwhat’s disturbia sizing like. I’ve seen a few things but begrudge the return postage if they don’t fit

Im also an hourglass and the sizing is always very off with me. I've ended up sending the last couple of dresses back which means I've paid £3.50 delivery and £3.50 return. Really puts me off ordering again even though I really like quite a lot of their clothes

PangoDilloDog · 20/10/2025 21:27

Montezumas have BOGOF their fudge.

Delivery is a bit steep (4.95). Unless you soend over £50. Which is a lot of fugde.

What do people recommend for a Minecraft newbie? Planning on getting my DS6 a Minecraft bundle to unwrap as part of DH buying it for him on our shared games laptop.

DS isn’t really into stuffed toys and he’s getting other non-MC Lego, so I was thinking the 2026 album, some PJs and a few small bits - any suggestions?

Famousthehero · 20/10/2025 21:38

@Yeknom have checked back to find you - please see post above, there’s Miniverse balls for an okay price if it’s the sort you want (not a big set though)

I’ve seen a different iteration of these in home bargains at the weekend, think it was a little bird (?) and think they were £4 or £5

Aquicksitdown · 20/10/2025 21:40

A few people have mentioned Hug-a-Lumps on here previously. They had quite a good selection in my local Morrisons today, all for £10 which is the cheapest I've seen them (the sloth, rabbit, cat and a couple of others too).

Looking for a toy car garage for my 3yr old. Saw one on Early Learning Centre which was pricy, but yesterday it was half price so ordered it - today they've cancelled the order and refunded me due to low stock😟gutted as thought it was a win!

Anyone have any recs for good wooden toy car garages?

Depending on how much you want to spend, this has done 3 cousins in our family and still looks pristine. £14 off currently on this site (not one I've personally used before).

Suffolk Owl Sanctuary has them in.

This takes me back. We used to collect them in local woodland and spend hours with the kids examining all the tiny bones inside.

Tesco had some half price toys on Sunday including a large garage. I don't know if it's any good but I my 3yo certainly thought it was and I had to drag him away...

Merrow · 20/10/2025 22:01

We have this one and it's going strong after 4 years of daily use! Really looks brand new. Definitely something you need to put together in advance though, I'm pretty good with that sort of thing and was amazed at the amount of time it took for me to put together on Christmas eve. So many tiny screws.

DS1(6) has just saved up his pocket money for this and he's really pleased with it:

@PuppyKeep

I have a 15 year old autistic daughter who never ever writes a Christmas list. She’s tomboy-ish, obsessed with gaming on her tablet, listens to heavy metal, and likes animals. Reads books.
HELP! I need gift ideas. It’s a struggle every year

This was me at 15 My most treasured things were:
doc martens
converse trainers
bc rich style bass guitar
Over ear headphones
handheld games console (steam deck nowadays)
band T-shirts and hoodies
a bedroom makeover to grown up neutrals
reading light
An unrushed trip to a record shop, gaming or second hand bookshop with some spends.
music magazine subscription

maybe she might like a selection of those fabric band badges - just got lots for my DD’s birthday as she loves metal :-)

Yeknom · 20/10/2025 22:33

Thank you so much for all the mini verse bargains and intel! I’ve ordered one of the balls and have my eyes on the larger sets too. Really am very grateful!

A reminder to check your Sparks offers if planning any M&S shopping. I know offers vary but I've just got 10% off fashion, beauty and home.

Yes, I've also got a free box of Belgian chocolates. Only a tiny box but still..... It will be a miracle if these last until Christmas tbh!

NoWordForFluffy · 20/10/2025 22:44

I've just had a Camel alert that the Switch 2 + Mario has dropped to £409 on Amazon.

Smileybutwily · 20/10/2025 22:53

Just a heads up to anyone who took advantage of the Sock Shop offer from a while ago.

I ordered (amongst other things) a couple of pairs of the mens bamboo lounge pants. They come packaged in individual sealed 'envelope' type things. Fortunately one of these was split so the item was half out and I could see u 'ladder' (like on ladies tights) with a fairly large hole at one end. As I opened the pants up fully to take a photo for CS there was also quite a large hole where the stitching hadn't been taken in properly at the seem. It made me dubious about the overall quality actually as the material is very thin.

I've arranged to send both back.

May be worth checking for anyone else that ordered x

Isittimeformetosleep · 20/10/2025 22:54

Just noticed there's 50% off everything on Amazon Haul at the moment until 31st.

nicky2512 · 20/10/2025 23:05

My mum wants to buy pjs for my kids. (Adult kids!). Both like fun/unusual stuff. I’m going to go cyber jammies for dd. I’m holding on for black Friday. Do I need to size up? She’s 10/small in Chelsea peers.

Ds wears short sleeve short leg and the only “fun” pairs I can find are Chelsea peers or oddballs. However he’s away at uni and has to tumble dry everything. I’m not a big drier user - has anyone got either of these brands and successfully dried them anyway or is it a definite no?
I am maybe overthinking this!
Open to any drier safe suggestions.

I’ve ordered loads from sock shop before and never had an issue, the lounge pants are so soft and always keep me warm

There’s a cute Minecraft pig money box, my DD7 absolutely loves it. It came from Tesco last Christmas but Amazon do them too.

PearlTeapot · 21/10/2025 01:07

@nicky2512 we all live in Chelsea Peers and tumble dry them every time and they are good as new after

Jellybum2019 · 21/10/2025 02:50
