This post is a work in process and if you have any links you’d like to share or would be good to add then please do let me know. The general consensus for the thread is to share any bargainous links, ideas and/or discount codes or information. No affiliate links (is that the right word?) And any referral links to the separate thread linked below. This is a warm, friendly, kind and cosy corner of mn filled with Christmas cookies and hot chocolate - let’s keep it that way!

If you have any referral links then please post on this thread https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/christmas/5212180-bargain-referrals-thread-7 and share around the joy/referral perks.

Sorry if someone has already posted this but osprey are having a great sale, just got a weekend bag for £79 and a wash bag for £14 - there’s an extra 10 per cent off sale price with the code WELCOME10

Thread 7 - the one where I was going through your kink
FurForksSake · 21/10/2025 11:15

@Bearlionfalcon how do you find the sale? I can’t find a tab!

Arregaithel · 21/10/2025 11:19

@FurForksSake it's here

FurForksSake · 21/10/2025 11:27

Thanks! I was looking at osprey 😆

Just ordered a beauty box from Boots, £55, not sure if that's the one somebody was waiting for on a previous thread?

That looks canny. They do more and more beauty boxes these days so there seems to be a new one every week.

I think the one most of us are holding out for is the Showstopper which should be released in a couple of weeks.

Christmasmcchristmasface · 21/10/2025 11:43

Amazon Haul

i just received these ordered when 70% was on at the the time they were 6.27 so I paid £1.88 - I thought they would be nice for my team (14 to buy for) so will add a box of shortbread and some hot chocolate.Stainless steel mug

might be a useful token gift - I would predict a fall in price and the 70% back around Black Friday

Crocs have an extra 20% off their sale with code SALEEXTRA20

Southsiderg4 · 21/10/2025 12:33

The Entertainer have a half price toy sale and Happyland toys are on buy one get one half price. The offers stack, so you can get one set half price and then another for 75% off!

edit: actually other toys are also included in the buy one get one half price - inc train sets and other ELC toys

Someone in the previous thread was looking for Sponge Bob items. I saw these today in Superdrug.

It was me! Thank you !

@Lidlisthebusiness You were asking about drawing sets yesterday for your son - how arty is he? Hobbycraft is fine but the quality isn't great TBH. I'd go for Cass Art - their own brand is good but they also have usually best prices on the good stuff - something like this:

https://www.cassart.co.uk/winsor-newton-studio-collection-graphite-pencil-set-of-10--c/

or if a bit more budget

https://www.cassart.co.uk/derwent-sketching-wallet--c/

I can't see online but in store they often also have sets that combine pencils with a nice pad or sketchbook.

I've picked up two sets of three Ted Baker mini sprays for £10 in the boots tuesday deal. Thought they might make good stocking fillers if split or a secret santa present.

Yeknom · 20/10/2025 18:56

@Ooopsyididitthank you - can I ask what may be a silly question - with mini brands, do they still get to “make” the food - or is it just prop/mini packets? I hope that makes sense!

@yeknom I was just in Asda and spotted the mini brands create (no bargains unfortunately). It looks like they've brought out a range where you do make the food.
The ones I saw were i think £6/7 for the ball containing 5 mini Disney themed food items.

If anyone missed last night's White Fox 40% off . It is now down to 30% off site wide with the code BDAY30

Thanks for this.

What white fox size would people recommend for my 12yo DD; she’s 5’7” and size 8-10 in ladies clothes (or 14-15yrs). It’s for a hoodie which is oversized. I’ve searched but my head is 🤯 and I can’t decide between xs/s and s/m. Thanks

Edited

My DD is a good few inches shorter than that and the XS isn't hugely oversized on her this year (was a Christmas present last year) so I'm not sure that would be big enough.

Thank you for this. He wanted one in a box, so I think the second set is a good option. He also mentioned a drawing tablet, I don't suppose you know anything about those, do you?!

hiredandsqueak · 21/10/2025 13:54

Wacom is the recognised brand for graphics tablets. Can't get links to load but look at Wacom available at Currys Argos and Amazon

nothingtoseehereatall · 21/10/2025 14:05

Yes second Wacom or XPPen which are usually a little cheaper (or Ipad Pro if money is no object, ha!)

RaymondPeterfellow · 21/10/2025 14:08

Anyone with a Sparks card, check your rewards. There is 10% off all fashion and home for everyone at the moment, this stacks with 20% of kids pjs that I had on my card. Worth a look!

AmazingBees · 21/10/2025 14:13

I've just been in Sainsbury's, and they had lots of clearance toys. I got a Chad Valley wooden sewing machine, and a wooden spa kit, £3.75 each, down from £15. Also a paw patrol figures set (8 figures) for £6.25 down from £25.

Several other things available at good prices, mainly the Chad Valley wooden toys, and lots of stock. Also spotted some mini brands, which I think people have been discussing, for around £2, but not sure if that's a good price!

ihavespoken · 21/10/2025 14:20

This is Xmas food not gifts, but I watched a webinar last week with the founder of Monty Bojangles and he mentioned they do a lot of "private label" stuff.. then I was in Aldi at the weekend and noticed their Specially Selected chocolate truffles look suspiciously similar to the MB ones! They are delicious - TBH we normally get the actual ones in TK Maxx so they are reduced anyway, but I will be definitely going to Aldi for personal consumption from now on

That’s interesting! I noticed last night that one of their specially selected chutneys has won a great taste award and thought I might try that! I haven’t found a chutney I’m really happy with yet, they’re always too sweet.

Jinxjacobs · 21/10/2025 15:25

The oodie nothing over £39 is on - lots of stuff but specifically for anyone after the dressing gowns, there's a selection at £35. I bought the towel beach bag earlier in the year (if you needed to make the £50 for free postage) and highly recommend, it was in heavy use on our summer holiday!

nothingtoseehereatall · 21/10/2025 16:13

@ihavespoken About 95% of Aldi products look suspiciously close to something else! I don't know how they get away with it. I have no idea on the particular truffles, but its definitely not the case that the "dupe" products they do are all made by the originators. I would think it's a bit unlikely that they are made by Monty Bojangles though - I think mostly their choc is either made by the German companies they use or Hames Chocolate.
