Which fairy cake tray do you use for your mince pies?

I need to replace mine.
I want one that is deep enough to get a good amount of filling in but not super deep like a tray for muffins.
If you could link your recommendation that would be incredibly helpful.
Thanks.

I do use a muffin tin for mince pies at Christmas. But, I only use a pastry cutter that comes 2/3 rds of the way up.

They are generously filled but not enormous to eat. As long as you don’t get too much egg wash around the top, they slide out easily.

This traditionally shaped one.

I really like this. I always covet the baking tray on the shelves in Saturday Kitchen, it has the rounded shape like this one

I find the traditional shallow tin quite enough. https://amzn.eu/d/2lDERuD
By the time you have two layers of pastry and mincemeat they are about the right ratio. Next size up muffin tins are too much filling to pastry.

I had no idea that these rounded-bottom mince pie trays were a thing.

Thank you so much for your comments and links.

We usually use a heavy, non-stick tray with 24 mini deep cups, and press small balls of dough in with a pusher, rather than roll out and cut. We don’t generally put lids on the one-bite mince pies, but do on conventionally-sized ones (the 12 to a tray style).

I couldn’t tell you the make, because we’ve had them for several years. But IME you get what you pay for and it’s worthwhile paying for heavy gauge trays. Heavy gauge do not warp, and are resistant to knocks and bumps.

I have two, one like the amazon one, which must be at least 50 years old as I remember it from my childhood. I also have a standard fairy cake tin with straight sides.
