Apologies if I’m not supposed to post questions like this, but as a 40 something year old with sons, would this set be suitable for my sons 23yr old GF for Christmas? Or is it aimed at younger teens? I’m struggling for ideas and I think this is quite cute, but what do I know 🤷‍♀️

I do think of it as a teen brand to be honest but it depends on how well you know her. My mil has never given me brilliant gifts (eg pyjamas 2 sizes too big 🫣) but she is so lovely and I know each gift was bought with love and to make me feel included and that counts for much more

sciaticafanatica · 10/10/2025 19:24

Shes definitely not the target age

menopausalmare · 10/10/2025 19:24

My 11 **year old and her friends love P Louise. If you sign up to emails, you're addressed as Babe.

shephardspieontoast · 10/10/2025 19:25

I think it's aimed for a younger audience. I'd try benefit or Charlotte tilbury instead.

CharlotteCChapel · 10/10/2025 19:47

I'm over 60 and use her lip oil. I love the packaging as well.

No33 · 10/10/2025 19:48

I wouldn't

TheFormidableMrsC · 10/10/2025 19:53

No absolutely not for somebody in their 20’s. It’s an absolute load of overpriced shite that I’ve just bought for my 12 year old niece. I’d go for Charlotte Tilbury or Sol De Janiero. Next and M&S have some gorgeous beauty boxes. ASOS is worth a look too.

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 10/10/2025 19:57

No that’s for kids. At her age I would go for Mac or Charlotte Tilbury

tragichero · 10/10/2025 21:34

I'd love this personally and I'm 47! It's more about style and taste than age I guess.

Any mileage in asking your son, her partner, whether he thinks it's the kind of thing she'd be into? If not he might be able to steer you towards her favourite style/brands.

Eyeofthelamp · 10/10/2025 21:55

Thanks everyone. I’ll probably leave it then. I actually like it, even at my age, but I take your point.

For the last few years Boots have had a very good Bobby Brown Christmas gift set. Normally £50 and well received by 15~ 45 year olds! (My niece and my best mate!) not I nstore just yet! I always buy one for myself too!

XelaM · 10/10/2025 23:38

Go with Charlotte Tilbury. You can get Pillow Talk sets for around £45.

PrivateMusic · 10/10/2025 23:40

My 14 won’t touch it, says it’s for little kids. Shame because it’s all so pretty, I love their packaging.
